If you had to give a grade on Zach M. performance...

What would you give him?
I'd have to say B- for his debut.
My openly two problems with his decision making were when he threw an INT in the goal zone area and his short to mid out route throws.
My problem with the goal line INT is that CLM clearly doesn't like it when his players have turnovers and I'm hoping that Miles doesn't put a leech on the offense because that would result in us becoming very predictable down the road.

B- is about right
INT was pretty bad decision making, but even on the TD, it seemed as if he locked into boone and threaded that needle while the post with Landry was wide open (and an easier throw).
all the pre-snap reading has to improve.

B, B-, had he not gotten hurt, he may have played better as the game went on, who knows. i said this before, but i think the team as a whole went flat when he went out of the game.

I've heard way too many people freak out over that CB blitz. I also would like to hope that the team wouldn't crash if Mett got injured down the road

that's not it, he didn't see the corner blitz that knocked him out of the game, and landry bailed him out on a few throws. he'll get better, but he didn't look great last night.

Speaking of his INT. Why wasnt that reviewed? Sure did look like the way he was falling that the ball hit the ground.

he'll learn, on that play, had he moved up in the pocke, or gotten rid of the ball faster, it wouldn't have happened.

I'm hoping for someone to make a highlight tape of every throw he made last night. Much like the Jarrett Lee/Oregon video that's up on youtube now.

You must be talking about the other drives beside the touchdown drive that the offense had when Rivers came in for his first series after Mett got hurt.

That's what I'm waiting on as well. Let me know if you find something like that.

C+/B-...... good stuff to build on, some stuff to improve on....

FWIW the best way to learn is often the hard way.
He learned the hard way on that corner blitz.
Dude got smashed.

I mean he wasn't seeing the entire field on that play and I think it's rare that we'll see a #1 or #2 corner blitz off the edge on him. If Blue was on the other of him or if a TE stays back to block. That sack never happens.

Mett is a solid qb like the uga posters said, but y'all were so caught up in the mettsiah bullshite. The hype and expectations, made by our fans, really wasn't fair to the kid IMHO

His first start and the offense produces more yards in years.
