If you could pick one former LSU basketball player in the last 30 years to put on this current team, who you got? I got Chris "Action" Jackson.

Chris Jackson would put LSU in the top 5 right away..

Dude averaged close to 35 a game for 2 years!

good first post!

it'll be a popular choice, but definitely Shaq.

he'd bring a ton to the court, and fans in the stands.

This.

Just so I could have the chance to watch him live during his prime.

Shaq, pair him with Hamilton and we'd be killing the college game down low.

Since we are already plenty deep down low I'd address a position of need and go with Garrett Temple.

Not the best scorer, but was a lock down defender (ask JJ Redick)

pistol was closer to 40 years ago if you're splitting hairs. i'd go with shaq also.

only reason i didn't go with Shaq is because we have some bangers down low. pistol was over 30 years ago, so i didn't go with him either. this team needs a shooter and ball handler so i picked jackson. i'd take vernell singleton too, or a healthy randy livingston. ronnie henderson wouldn't be bad either. so many great players we've had. hard to pick just one

Marcus Thornton, because I think we are lacking a big time player that can take over

My mistake. Didn't see the part where the OP said in the last 30 years.

In that case, either Chris Jackson or Shaq.

Thornton. We don't have consistent guard play.
