"YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME". Bottom line. Pitch Ranaudo and Coleman 1-2. Ross is good enough to win game 3 if it comes to that, but I say throw the best you have at and hope you never have to play game 3.

Not a bad idea at all. It would be a huge psychological advantage for LSU. Don't underestimate that when it comes to baseball OR teenagers. Looking at the big picture, it is also a great opportunity to get Ross more big game experience that will help LSU next year and the the year after.
Are you kidding? The scenario is "If we (LSU) win the 1st game. You think Rice is going to counter with their #3 in a do-or-die game?

Rice's #3 guy is a lefty....Why would we want our ace on the mound with our bats going against the southpaw???Lets dispose of their 2 righties on Friday and Saturday, drink a cold one, and head to LSU North...

I would start Coleman in game 2 because I would want to win it without going into game 3. We can always use Ott to close more than 1 game.
