I have been wrong before, though.
Yeah, but that was way back in 2004 right after you joined so it doesn't count....

"YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME". Bottom line. Pitch Ranaudo and Coleman 1-2. Ross is good enough to win game 3 if it comes to that, but I say throw the best you have at and hope you never have to play game 3.

Yes, I did get hammered here for my original comment. Obviuosly the LSU Rant Nation does not agree with my assesment of the situation. I still love you guys...you make me laugh.

Not a bad idea at all. It would be a huge psychological advantage for LSU. Don't underestimate that when it comes to baseball OR teenagers. Looking at the big picture, it is also a great opportunity to get Ross more big game experience that will help LSU next year and the the year after.

If we pitch our #3 on Saturday, what makes you think Rice wouldn't counter with their #3

Are you kidding? The scenario is "If we (LSU) win the 1st game. You think Rice is going to counter with their #3 in a do-or-die game?

Rice's #3 guy is a lefty....Why would we want our ace on the mound with our bats going against the southpaw???Lets dispose of their 2 righties on Friday and Saturday, drink a cold one, and head to LSU North...

I would start Ross in game two.

I would agree if Rice had a stud lefty, but their aces are both right handed pitchers, so I would go with Renaudo and Coleman.

I would start Coleman in game 2 because I would want to win it without going into game 3. We can always use Ott to close more than 1 game.

Not even a remotely decent idea, huh? We must all be brain dead to even consider it. Geez, did you ever wonder where the expression "ace in the hole" came from? I guess we shouldn't assume that your other 68,894 posts are of the same high quality substance. Next time come up with something to back up your argument beside insults, will ya?
