Miles still in Saban's shadow. Like it or not, that is what we have to deal with in the long term.

The first part may be slightly true but EVERY coach is in Sabans shadow at the current time. We are the only team and Les is the only coach that can compete with Saban year in year out. Just like everyone says bama was the only team that could hang with us this year the opposite was true too. The Bear may be back but we are better now then we were then. This is going to be a Bo vs Woody type deal not a Bear vs McClendon.

To the original question Yes I would be happy in that hypothetical but it wont happen. I promise you with Tyrann Mathieu Sam Montgomery and Shepard back there is no way that we lose to Bama. We lost some great guys to the draft no doubt but we got our most vocal leaders back. Vocal leaders are what you need for a revenge game like this.

Book it if there is a plus 1, and it could happen and the 4 best teams get in then a one loss LSU or UA could get in and could meet again in the NC game. Would that be fantastic????

I mean, we beat bama and they held the crystal in our face. Of course id take a loss to them to be able to do the same.

We beat both next year though.

Highly doubt it. Don't see them leaving the whack-10 untouched...

If we don't win the SEC, the BCS title will feel hollow, imho.

Haven't read the entire thread, but this year's Bama team proves that winning the BCSCG trumps the living sh*t out of any regular season loss.

Those two events will not occur next year. If Alabama wins, they go to the SEC Championship. We go to the Cap One Bowl.

Red People must feel the pain next year. We must win the Red People game, nothing else matters. We are their new best friends ....
