Can someone tell me what we’ve been doing on the recruiting trail since 2015 to get to this point? Orgeron and Ensminger didn’t start their jobs at LSU this year.

Let me go through the usual responses:

-If Les is gone and O is hired then we could easily play for the west if not a NC in a couple years. The cupboard is full of talent we just need O to unleash it.

-O was just interim this year. Next year he will have it all put together with Canada coming in.

-Canada sucks as an OC and is toxic for the team. He held LSU back. Ensminger is going to "get all 2016 offense on their arse" just wait.

-after Miami game - SEE I frickING TOLD YOU THIS OFFENSE IS GONNA BE AWESOME WITH E.

-betweeb Miami and UGA - just working out the kinks in the offense E will unleash the "full playbook' against UGA.

- UGA Game - frickIN TOLD ALL YOU HATERS. SUCK IT YOU FAKE FANS!

- After Bama game and onward - insert excuses you named above.

rb isn't the problem it's o line. That is by far LSU's biggest weakness on offense.

How about getting an elite OC. That would be satisfying!

You missed a couple of steps here:

-After BYU game, SEE I frickING TOLD YALL IT'S ON MILES WAS TERRIBLE WE ARE FREE!!!

-After MSU Syracuse Troy WTF NO ONE EVER SAID WE WERE GOING TO BE GOOD THIS YEAR MILES LEFT shite FOR O TO WORK WITH THIS IS GOING TO TAKE TIME TO REBUILD

-After Alabama WE BEAT THEM PHYSICALLY WE COMIN AIN'T BACKING DOWN 10 WINS LOCK

-After Notre Dame NO ONE THOUGHT WE'D WIN NINE GAMES THIS YEAR WITH SO MUCH TO REBUILD, AND CANADA SUCKS

And this season you've missed the best excuse of all:

-THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A 5-6 WIN TEAM WHAT AN AMAZING JOB

Playcalling has not helped this team overcome it's deficiencies on offense. That being said it certainly would have made a difference if we had an upper tier RB. Before this season a large portion of the fan base was pretty down on Brossette and didn't want him touching the football and we didn't know how good CEH was.

The other factor is the OL shuffle. Last year we finished with Charles-Ingram-Clapp-Brumfield-Weathersby. That's a better OL than Charles-Brumfield(Hines)-Cush-Lewis-Deculus.

Look at Auburn who was in the 30's last year in total offense and beat Bama and UGA with Stidham, Kerryon Johnson and a veteran OL. This year Stidham is back, but they have a young OL and RBs and are now 99th in total offense. Same playcalling, but players matter. Stidham looked great last year and suddenly this year everyone says he sucks. Supporting cast matters.

None of this absolves the coaches of responsibility. They have to recruit better and coach better to overcome weaknesses. You just have to look at the whole picture to be objective.

I think if we had an elite OL and elite coaching at the OL position, then I would think the running game and passing game would be more satisfying.

The OL has struggled this season a lot and against questionable teams. But its something new. When facing elite DLs they have struggled.

Against Bama:
Fournette = 35 yds
Guice = 71 yds

I will give the OL some slack this season because of all the moving around and injuries but I think LSU needs some better talent, deeper talent, and better coaching.

An elite RB wouldn't have helped any against Bama this season.

But Ensminger and O and everybody knew we didn't have an elite RB this season, and that's why on several occasions they stated our strength this season would be wide receiver. They insisted we would spread 3 and 4 wide. I heard them. You heard them. They have gone 100% pussy on us/done just the opposite with this max protection bullshite, slow-developing vertical stuff. They are too pigheaded and/or ignorant to spread 4 or 5 wide and develop the short, quick passing game. You dump the ball off lightning fast, actually helping your offensive line. These old school fricks think max protection is the way, which has been proven to be exact opposite of what you need with a shaky o-line. These guys suck! Those of you fans that buy their excuses, you are ignorant fools.

Can't believe nobody replied to all this truth you just typed. LSU is extremely awful running the ball (2nd to last in rush average and 9th in rush ypg), yet they average the most carries per game in the SEC. We have the second worst completion % in the conference, yet we continue to run so many deep pass plays that take advantage of our weakness in blocking. Screens will not only raise the cmp%, it will keep the chains moving and spread out the defense. Running more uptempo from shotgun with guys going in motion with jet sweeps and fakes, will also cut the need for guys making a hole fast enough. At that point it's in Burrow's hand to make the right read.

Alabama is with the times without an elite running backs there are nowhere near as dangerous. You cannot be one dimensional and win championships

You just gave the most important reason for why we need a new OC.

You are stuck in the past my friend. Just like Miles, you have an inability to accept that college football is changing. Saban knew this. That's why they changed their philosophy. The sooner we get that, the sooner we can get to the next level.

Why were so many people agreeing that Miles needed to change his philosophy, but now accept the same philosophy under O? With even worse statistical results?

Elite offensive players or not, we need to get with the times.

Exactly. These fools should look at Wisconsin. Preseason they were supposed to finish 11-1 and actually pose a threat. Well you see what happened even though they have a really good OL and what has been considered the best or 2nd best RB in the past 2 years in CFB.

Their starting RB has 1548 yards and 12 TDs averaging 6.8 ypc. Their backup has 480 averaging 7.06 ypc. Third string has 372 averaging 6.54 ypc, and their next two (a RB and WR) combine for 31 carries 238 yards (7.7 ypc) and 5 TDs. So with this dominant OL and elite RB, they should be great right? They are 47th in total offense, and 69th in scoring offense. They are 6-4 with 3 losses by 22 or more points.
