If we had beaten Alabama on 1/9/12...Les Miles lost that game with his stubbornness. Plain and simple. If you want to blame someone blame Les.

If we hadn't lost to Ole Miss in 1960!!!

I wouldn't have to constantly explain this neck, lip, gum, and tongue tat.

Yep no way you can beat a good team twice in same season with a Championship on the line.

The misfortune of drawing Alabama again in 2011 should be offset against LSU's tremendous fortune the last weekend of 2007. Both LSU offenses were led by senior QBs. The difference is that when the 2007 team went down 10-0 to Ohio State, we opened up the playbook and put Ohio State (which also had numerous NFL players on defense) on its heels.

Yeah, they did open it up a lil with old conservative Mile's taking advantage of a weakness they saw in Ohio States defense by using the TE to score repeatedly on them. But that wasn't a Urban Meyer coached Ohio State team that they played against, thank god. Lol LSU was lucky to be in that game though after blowing 2 games in triple OT to Kentucky and Arky at home, you know that.

Wish it was. It’s 100% true. The only reason I bring it up now is because it’s been so long. At the time I was posting on another forum and I dm’d a mod to ask if they had heard anything like that. I didn’t mention it on the board because people would have freaked out. There was no reason to suspect it was a lie. This lineman told him about it in casual conversation. I was at these people’s house multiple times a week and bow hunted with this coach regularly. This is not a story that has been passed around. It was on a weekend and he actually called me leaving the track and told me. It wasn’t some earth shattering thing. The language the OL used was actually a little stronger than what I described. Gimme ur email and can tell u the details. It doesn’t matter anymore. The coach is not at SELU now. He has moved on to a another school. He was NOT a football coach but he was the Head Coach of another sport
