Hell no. Alabama will never let us forget 1/9/12, and it's not going to go away by us saying, "Well, we beat ____ in the NC the next year."

Only thing that even begins to ease the pain is beating Bama in the NC. Considering the playoff model being proposed will only include conference champions, that won't happen.

Winning next year will take most of the sting, idgaf what Bama fans says anyhow. Though I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line we have the reverse scenario of this year, where they win a close one, but we don't the rematch

Maybe.

The caveat being - we roll into Nov 3rd undefeated and crush 'Bama. I don't mean win by a FG either....I mean a complete annihilation. Then get to Miami and win it all.

I'm sick of 'Bama and their bulls$%&

That bama loss will leave a permanent scar on me. It will fade in time but won't ever fully heal. It's not just losing a gane, it's losing THE game to a hated rival.

The sting is already gone. Can't wait for LSU to start kicking arse again.

If we get to Miami, I'm over one loss in a 13-1 season. Win or lose, two BCS title games in a row is incredible for any program, especially a program that was happy just to play in the Independence Bowl 14-15 years ago.

Until LSU wins another title the sting of 1/9/12 will be very much alive.

To answer your initial question - YES

It Sure Will!

Even more so if it would be a re-match against bama...although the odds of that are slim.

You will never see LSU given the same opportunity Bama was given . The fact that Bama got a BCS Championship handed to them after losing to us earlier in the season will always suck .

As a Bama fan, 09 took the sting out of 08.

It was sweet to avenge the previous year and was a big reason the team came together and worked toward that goal.

I hope your team doesn't roll over like UF or Texas did after their beat down.....after all, y'alls was the worst beating of the bunch.

What happened on 1/9/12 will never be forgotten by Tiger nation or the Gumps for that matter, however if LSU and bama met again in Miami and LSU beat the $h!t out of them then I would feel a little better

I don't think it'll ever go away. It was the ultimate game for LSU...Bama with Saban against LSU with Miles in the NC game. It would have shut up the Les haters for good and pretty much made us a dynasty and said we are simply better than Bama now. Unless we beat them handily in Miami, that will always remain and probably even if that were to occur
