Several weeks to prepare for the option

Which is the ONLY thing that allowed us to move the ball on them last game.

Ok so the almighty invincible Saban has spent all of his prep time stoping the option?
That means that something else would work because they aren't prepared for it.

The Saban fear around here is hilarious.

Well, considering that you might say this is a "must win" for Saban, this might be something he considers!

Key to success against previous opponents hammer the def line with RB dejour till the second half and the opponet is worn out and can't get second wind. Bama has number one defensive stats so not sure we will succeed with the same offensive plan.
Hope to see The Hat come up with some new plans to give us an advantage over them. My opinion is Bama is the only team this year with chance to beat us, cause we match up so evenly. He who gets the breaks wins this one.

An odd thing to me is that people act as if the option caught Bama off guard, and thus was the reason it succeeded. Please. We've been running the option with Jefferson for years. If they were unprepared for it, it was because Saban did a miserable job preparing his team.

But looking at the video from the game, LSU just executed better than Bama did on the option plays, You can know the option is coming, but it's hard to stop it your players are on the ground. We didn't catch Nick by surprise, our guys just made the plays and Bama didn't.

Instead of LSU fans worrying about Saban, the Gumps need to worry about Miles extending his string over Saban.

Bama makes us beat them through the air

Of course thats probably what every other team we've played has thought they were gonna do

I bet you didn't worry about it last game either.
Or the one before that?
Maybe you should.

Alabama was not unprepared for the option. It may have been effective for LSU, but it's not like we dominated the game. AL played 2-deep and held LSU to 200 yards and 6 points in regulation.....why would they do anything different??? He's not going to play Lester closer to the line of scrimmage to stop the option at the expense of giving up a long touchdown to Randle. Think about it, in one play, LSU could score more points than they did in 60 minutes last time. Alabama will do nothing different on defense.

Because Alabama has had a month to get ready for the option, and we wont be able to score.

Whooooaaaa I never thought about that since the option is the ONLY play LSU runs. Great analysis.

if the tide can shut down our receivers we could be in big trouble. that said, I expect solid contributions from RR, OBJ, Clement, Boone, Landry and Wright....and it would be huge if we can get Deangelo back on track. JMHO.

happy new year

If the Tigers execute on the option it doesn't matter about Saban. Just like the Packers power sweep in the early 60s.

Considering Saban defense has always had trouble with mobile qbs, THIS is finally the time where he is ready to totally shut one down.

i think we should run a creative option offense similar to georgia southern

Jordan Jefferson.

Just being honest.

And I will be the first to congratulate him if he puts this team on his back and carries us to victory.

Whoa buddy, JJ is not a great option QB, he runs it pretty poorly. Luckily the blocking has been pretty good.
