Couldn't he have resigned, for having facilities far less than his SEC peers?

Didn't he achieve at a level far higher than his program's stature?

Schmitt was here under Freas, when LSU was at the top of the SEC.

He was a good swimmer and he recruited well, considering his facilities.

Surely, he had far less of an attractive venue than several other "revenue-burners."

Maybe he wasn't fired?

He was not quoted in the Reveille press release. It may be pronounced, but it may not be profound. Maybe he saw the handwriting on the wall?

Were it not for Title IX, I promise you, there are several of those sports that would have BIT THE DUST.

But somebody thinks Schmitt was fired.
