If the secondary stays healthy this could be the best defense we've had

Since 2011. Front 7 is deep and nasty...

Safety is deep too. Just need the CBs to stay healthy

Not many teams could handle R Lawrence last year on his own, imagine another guy with just as much talent playing along side. Add a healthy Alexander/Shelvin and the double teams will have to stay inside on those big NTs. We now have depth at LB as well. Sack city in 2018! DBs should look extremly talented with that front. Came here to tell you there is no way it’s better than 2011

Need to add that to you thread title.

BTW, you may be right. Though 2016 was a spectacular D.

This D has a chance to be great, BUT it depends how good the offense is....

The D should be good enough to give us a chance in every single game.

We need for some players to make a big time jump for this to happen. The linebacker and corner position are still big time question marks.

If they aren't gassed by halftime because of all the offensive 3 and outs.

The cornerback depth is just embarrassing. On paper it might be the worst in the last 10 years.

The CB's not only need to stay healthy, they need to be able to play at a high level. Thats yet to be seen. Have to feel good about the DL. The roster has adjusted to Arranda's 3-4. Finally have the depth and talent needed at DL, it seems. White is the best ILB ive seen at LSU. Safety seems fine but are they top 3 in the league?

Lets hope for the best, but thats quite a prediction.
