This terrifies me.

I honestly think that would be the beginning of a decline for Les. Chief's defense has kept us at the top for some time. Chances he makes a hire that good (if one exists) are very slim.

Gary Patterson or bust as head coach if Les ever declines. As far as a DC, I wouldn't know where to start. I think we look for a career DC kind of person like Chief so they don't use LSU as a stepping stone for a HC job in 2 years.

ETA:

Maybe Pellini will be fired by then and we could rehire him.
