He should be publicly dismissed from the team. There is no excuse for blatantly refusing to play, and therefore he should be kicked off of the team.

Remember that im saying "IF". I have no inside information, and understand that this is only conjecture.

He signed with an agent. He dismissed himself.

We will never know but I will always believe this is the reason JJ didn't accept!

The point is, it this is the case, Jones should let it out in the open and say he is no longer part of the team. I also obviously think the team should be playing in the NIT and that it's absurd how much influence this one kid has been given.

I doubt this is what happened. If LSU had played in a tournament without Simmons his stock would have fallen. LSU would play without him before they would not play because he wasn't.

So you want to publicly shame a future nba star who may one day give back to the university? Great idea

SI he signed with an agent saturday night?

The kid hardly seems like the punk every body wants him to be. There's more to this. But you do realize that lsu could still havery played in the tourney without Ben if that were true. And it would make LSU look like victims and him a brat.....which is exactly what should have happened if so. But I don't believe any of that really

People are mad at ben because the team sucked. Thats the only real reason. They just need to deflect right now

This would serve any purpose, and his heart has been long gone. Don't be bitter toward him. He got screwed; he deserved to be able to play in the NBA this year. Why should he risk millions of dollars to play in a useless exhibition tourney?

That would show him. Johnny's wisdom and guidance have meant so much to Ben.

I think Alleva pulled the plug on the NIT to stop the bleeding.

LSU basketball is a laughing stock right now, so I don't blame him.

I'll add it to his list of accomplishments.

Joe's Accomplishments:

-almost fired Miles
-fixed windows
-NIT denied
