wut?????? 3 titles in 5 years shows a downside?????

IF he goes to Texas they will win a title within 3 years and prob do what he did at Bama........... Texas is LOADED with Talent [RIGHT NOW] Saban goes In next year and they win 10 games easy.......

I don't know about that. While Saban's recruiting of Texas will result in obscene hauls, I think Saban may have some difficulties in the Big-12. Saban doesn't seem to do so well against quick spread offenses, which are pretty prevalent in the Big 12. Don't get me wrong, I think UT will be one of the top teams and could very well win a title, but I don't see another run like he's had at Bama.

This would be the most hyped non-championship college game ever.

But it's not happening.

Once he gets the players HE wants there. Its gonna be TEXAS all the time anytime. He will only be as good as the staff he brings in.

Good. Maybe they won't have the money to pay his players. IMO, he is just waiting for the offer to reach his desk.

Where did that rumor about Saban leaving Alabama come from? He has a dynasty there and plenty of support and money. Bama will raise any bid from Texas, even if they have to sell Bear's statue and Bryan Denny Stadium to keep him.

No matter who is the coach at Texas, the Horns would never play LSU. They have traditionally had very weak non-conference schedules to boost their records. The only time UT will ever play LSU is in a Cotton Bowl, Champions Bowl or a National Championship or playoff game.

Texas had a home and home vs. Ohio State within the last 8 years or so, but that's about it.

LSU isn't afraid to play the teams on the level of an Oregon, or West Virginia when they were winning Big East titles or even a Wisconsin team next year and even scheduled Oklahoma in a home and home in the future.

Muther fricking this.

Couple that with the fact that the midget couldn't win out at Bama with a schedule that consistently had him avoiding the top teams from the other division in his own conference. Saban isn't stupid. He knows he needs a scheduling advantage to win.

Bama just recently cancelled a home and home with Michigan State. Anyone who follows Bama's scheduling tactics at all could have seen that coming. Saban would do the same at UT.

And this. LSU's fans are the worst. Bitch about playing harder schedules, but then piss all over our coach if he loses one of these games while other coaches are praised for beating on cupcakes all year.

If LSU was smart, they would take the UT and Bama approach to scheduling.

You may be right, but I would buy a ticket. Would be teriffic for the fans and a national television audience. To me, that is what the LSU brand stands for--playing the best, and beating them. We are a team that is not afraid of competition, whether the Oregon Ducks or Wisconsin Badgers. Bring 'em on.

Saban is on the downhill side of his career

Lol....what?

Downhill maybe in terms of age.
Results, the man is still at the top. He's outrecruiting younger Les Miles (a good recruiter himself).

Literally 1 second and an SECCG away from 3 of 4 national championships.

The man is as mentally sharp as ever.

As far as recruiting goes, he'll be as much as a menace at Texas as he was at Alabama.

He might completely shut us out of Texas. Texas' recruiting reach is ridiculous. Centrally located to the California talent and the southeast talent.

I think you are on to something here.

Look at Ohio State and Florida State this year. FSU played Clemson, but that's it. The first team that OSU played in the top ten was #10 Michigan State in the Big10 Championship and the Buckeyes lost to Sparty.

I don't think you understand how recruiting works. He can only sign 25 a year. Do you have any idea of how many blue chippers are in the state of Texas?
