And they were all much more vital to the success of their respective teams than Shep will be to the '09 Tigers.
And I'm not saying he should definitely be back there, only if he is clearly the best option.

Shep's potential impact on offense is greater than his potential impact as a punt/kick returner.
Until we know just how he's going to be used on offense, we can't be sure. Him flipping the field on a big return once or twice a game might be more valuable than anything he's allowed to do on offense this year.

me and carl have had our differences, but he's spot on here.

I agree with this. I'm just going off of what Miles said at the Tiger Tour in that Shep will have his own package at QB and they will get him on the field as much as possible.

But don't you know how dangerous special teams play is?!?!

If his potential impact didn't include plays at the QB position, I'd agree 100%. Assuming of course he can actually field a punt/kick under pressure.

I'm with Brown on this one...we have plenty of other skilled playmakers capable of returning punts and kicks.

Added risk. Every play is potentially dangerous.

Nah, i enjoy driving 4.5 hours each way every weekend for home games. Actually, come to think of it, i maybe in more danger....oh geez...

I agree. Jordan Jefferson should not go into any game until the very last play of regulation.

You suck at sarcasm.

Capable? Sure. Game changing? Doubt it.
Why are so many people fine with simply having a "capable" returner. You people undervalue the importance of special teams and field position.

My issue isn't that he may get hurt and won't be able to play offense. My issue is his body type is not going to cut it especially as a KR. He will get broken in half returning kicks.
Its possible if he can prove to field punts well that he could be a PR where the collision factor isn't quite as high.
