Probably because the current coaching staff will be here for at least another 19 years & according to most people on this site, they can't develop talent or coach. In the 20th year, Gruden's grandson will be our HC-a job his grandpa only wishes he could of had-& there will be an immediate Heisman contender in the form of Ryan Perriloux's-much better behaved-son who will sign with LSU to live the dream his daddy never did. And by the way, none of crowton's kids/grandkids will be anywhere near the program.

Really? I can say that he is probably our best shot next year. But 20 years from now???

well, then your answer would be, "no." now wouldn't it.

You do realize that it's been 50 years since LSU has had a Heisman candidate with a chance of winning.

I wonder about the overall value (aside from gaudy stats) that a Heisman trophy winner brings to your team.

Florida's had more Heisman winners than NCs.

Alabama's had one.

Vince Young arguably deserved it over Reggie Bush.

Etc.

Everything that PP is to defense.....

Avery is to offense.

Combo on O of mett, Jarvis, Avery, hill/ford/hill in two years.
Big strong line

the near future is very bright!

Yes. He may may come back for a combo "Heisman Longshot"/BCS contender run.

He can get the insurance, and the almost certain lockout could be a factor in this. He may also like playing college ball.

I must say his return is unlikely, perhaps no more than 20 percent. However, Kevin Faulk returned for his senior season, as did Marcus Spears, so it's not impossible.

There has been one true defensive player and one part time defensive player win the Heisman in the past 75 years...Even if he did come back, historically he still doesn't have much of a chance to win the trophy...

We really don't know if he's leaving to begin with. He has never been asked the question. So you never know, he might pull a Tebow.

Like someone said in another thread, PP7 strikes me as the person who would come back just to get another shot at winning a NC. Obviously the money is tempting, but some guys truly enjoy the experience and don't feel complete until they win it all. See Glenn Dorsey.

But then again, what do we know?

The NFL Lockout would be a good reason not to go pro. Why go pro when you can't sign a contract?

Because he can sign with an agent who will gladly front him $100K based on his future earnings.

I heard there's a 2 year old that's tearing it up in his playpen in Monroe. Likely to be better than Bo Jackson. Hope we can get this kid.

Is it Ratphuk Hobley's son?
