a player farted and Skip smelt it 10 mins before he did it.

I bet, over time, Skip became miserable with having such a good sense of smell. I wonder if he eventually could tell which player had farted. "Ooooooooooo that smelled just like a Russssss Ssssspringer poot. Sandy I'm beginning to hate this nnnnose of mine"

Brady Wiederhold was the pitching coach when Smoke was at LSU. Mainieri brought his assistants with him from Notre Dame (Rooney and Godwin I believe).

I think it rests solely on Javi and Maneri at this point. Something has to change or it will be a long season.

The talent being recruited and the instruction given to the players are ultimately Paul Mainieri's responsibility.

The head coach will not be fired. He has done enough to keep his job long term.

It does seem though the "hitting woes" have been present most years after 2009. Is it the talent or the hitting instruction ? I honestly don't know. I understand the frustration because Tiger fans are spoiled going to Omaha 14 times since 1986.

Eventually, this team will start hitting again and we could actually see LSU win 8 out of their next 10 Conference games. No one knows how this team will do the remaining 20 + SEC games.

Personally, I think it's hitting instruction.

I just can't figure out how a kid comes in as a freshman (Bregman) and blows the doors off at the plate (not saying he hit a ton of home runs but he was 180° in the other direction than he is currently) and then the following season he, and a bunch of others, are in this weird slump. Even one of the UF announcers said that McMullen was hitting over .400 a little over a week ago. No idea if that is correct, it is Florida but all the hitters we could usually count on are in this weird funk, I think we can all agree on that.

I'm always standing with the Tigers, always will but it has been a head scratcher at the plate as of late.

Not calling for any heads to roll but some changes need to take place soon.
