Burrow will be under center on the first play from scrimmage on Sunday. If he's what we think he will be, he'll be our guy all season except for mop up duty. If he's not as good as we think, O may have a quick hook to an improved Myles Brennan. If Brennan struggles, he might just rotate the hot hand all season until one of them shows consistency. In my opinion, Burrow will be just fine. Brennan will get reps throughout the season but take advantage of the new RS rule.

I personally don't think it's a good sign that you took a Grad transfer and the guy you wanted to redshirt this season has now outplayed him.

Uh, I do. Iron sharpens Iron.

If bringing in another QB put pressure on MB to become a better QB than I'm all for bringing in another next near.

The players know who is going to start. Who gives a shite if a starter is named?

Do people really think Richt/Diaz AREN’T preparing for Burrow to be the starter?

I'm sure they expect Burrow to be named starter, but I don't believe they are solely preparing for that. That would be pretty irresponsible of them banking on one guy. Regardless, they have limited film on either guy, and with us also having a new OC, it's pretty difficult for them to prepare for any, one thing.

The best deal for LSU is Burrow starting and Brennan playing just enough that he can still redshirt.

Burrow is the starter. Everyone knows it.

O is trying his hand at some gamesmanship. If he thinks it'll give him an edge then he should do it.

It doesn't fking matter. There will be 1 qb. It will be Burrow. He'll start and play the entire game barring injury. Maybe O doesn't want anyone to know. Maybe he doesn't care if inquiring minds wanna know. Maybe he's just fkin with everyone. I really don't think it's a secret or conspiracy at this point. He's just being coy.

Is there really much difference for preparing for one qb vs the other?
It's not like we are going to come out running an option with JB. And I wouldn't think E would want his starting qb to get very many designed run plays of any kind for the opening game.

He wants Richt to gameplan for both but we have a new offense anyway. However, we run Brennen in the first series and before getting to the huddle Burrow sprints in for him and he comes out. Keep Diaz guessing until the last second
