Herman from Houston? That's a good one too.

He did stay on for Les's first year but then figured out that his and Les's offensive ways are just a tad different. So, after all of that, I would think, at least, he would listen to an offer from LSU...

He was here for two years and was offered the head gig at FSU. Why stay as an OC? God our fans, fricking hate them and how clueless they are.

The issues with these are no one knows what will happen. muschamp, malzahn, holgerson, Patterson, sarkisian were all deemed better than Miles. There are a few others, but you get my drift. Every year names are thrown out there, every year they change.

The Head Coach at Oklahoma State. The Head Coach at Michigan State.

Swinney is not leaving Clemson for LSU. I would take Fisher, Patterson and Kelly in a heart beat. Up and comers in Herman and Fuente I just don't know if the LSU job would be a tad over there head at this point right now. Would be good young hires though. Mullen, no thanks!

Not necessarily in this order:

I like David Shaw from Stanford.
I like Mike Gundy from Oklahoma St.
I like kicking the tires on the Memphis coach
I like Spurrier (he's suddenly available)
I like Gruden if you can pull him, but that is a very long shot. And for those that said, his time passed, Dick Vermeil says Hello. If he is smart, he would never leave that booth job.

Mullen is a QB guy, right? shite, I'd love a QB guy. That's really why I want Jimbo. How many QBs has he sent to the league? I know Rohan, Booty and Nall were all drafted when he was at LSU. That's astounding. Not to mention he coacherd Flynn, Russel and Mauck. All drafted.

And at FSU Ponder was a 1st rounder. Winston was #1 overall. And EJ Manuel was a 1st rounder.

I mean, it doesn't get any better. He needs over 4.07M. Offer the man 5M and full control of all things LSU football and let's frickin' geaux.

I'm calling Larry Fedora. I'm impressed with what he's done at UNC. Lots of connections in TX and Florida. He's a good offensive mind as well. If I'm not mistaken Frank was on his staff at USM. Throw the bank at Frank, Corey, and Ed O, then bring in all new staff. That's my pick.

Larry Fedora

Now I'm not saying he does or he don't but the man obviously likes LSU and Baton Rouge. If the situation and opportunity was right I think he takes the job.

This is the rt answer. I just don't think this off season is the rt time. Too many jobs open, I know everyone loves LSU, but that doesn't mean the rest of the country does or that LSU would ever get their first choice even if they were the only open job.

If people want a dramatic change in our offensive philosophy and decide to go to a spread up tempo offense, then I have a name for you, Doug Meacham, Offensive Coordinator at TCU. He is responsible for who Trevone Boykin is today and also was partially responsible for the offensive success that Oklahoma State had a few years ago. Just thought I would throw an outside the box idea.
