Get real dude. LSU has had 2 similar players try tNBA in the past 5 years. One from LA and the other from TX.

The last solid F LSU produced NBA wise would be Glenn Big Baby Davis or Stromile Swift.

Exactly. These kids have to buy groceries and pay cell phone bills. Pay them for goodness sake!

It has nothing to do with their expenses. They’re image and play collects millions of dollars for their universities and the NCAA.

I have nothing wrong with the players getting paid.

ETA: What would you say if you were making 100 grand a year and your employer came to you and said- hey man you paid off all your loans and your debt free so we’re gonna go ahead and drop you down to 40k.

No one should be compensated based on their expense, they should be compensated for their labor and the fruits of that labor.

I'm assuming NBA all-stars don't count for some reason.

yeah I agree, I think payment definitely happens to some extent but more to the factor of 15-20k.

Get real? What I said is a fact, if you don’t wanna believe data that’s on you. And Stromile Swift? Seriously, Naz doubled his freshman production in every category besides blocked shots. Moving the goalpost to criticize someone on their pro career before it’s even started just proves you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. In this class Naz was the 18th ranked prospect yet he finished 13th in scoring and 7th in rebounding. Since you struggle with data that means he outperformed his projection.

Data is Data. BLAH

Stromile Swift was not only the much better college player, he enjoyed a few lucrative years in tNBA. He also made 10x more highlight reels than Naz ever will, college or pro.

Sit down.

It’s true I just today saw a mock draft from the GM Southdown Tiger predicting that Marlon Taylor would be taken number 1 overall lol.

When you get to numbers like 500k and 1mil where does this money get washed? I am really curious how the nuts and bolts of something like this would work.

Back in the day, they had polls for fans to vote on.

Such as maybe who was the more prolific college player?

Stromile Swift or Naz Reid?

Which would you vote for?

There is no way the top 20 college basketball players are bringing in hundreds of thousands every year

Sure most families could hide that kind of money but there is no doubt some of these families would get busted by the IRS or be loud mouth bragging about it to everyone.

They are getting paid, but it’s not hundreds of thousands in cash

Stromile was a bust as the number 2 pick and by your logic Jamarcus Russell is better than Tom Brady.

You’re drafted based off of your skill set you displayed in college.

Jamarcus was better than Brady in college.
