Chip Kelly
David Shaw
Jimbo Fisher

These guys could be the next head coach of LSU if miles were to leave.

Payton >Schiano. Why would you go with that dude over Sean Payton? Also Bellicheck would be a good choice. He is a proven coach, albeit in the NFL, at the New England Patriots and a winner of multiple super bowls. He is a proven winner at the NFL level and would have to adapt to the college game.

On a realistic level, Briles or Strong would be my first 2 calls

It's so easy to win at LSU why don't we just go dig up ole Bear Bryant's bones and have them in a box on the sideline.

I don't know about Kelley. Gimmick offense just to put asses in the seats? Get beat physically on the lines like we are now. Those teams never emphasize physicality. Hell, Oregon let Ndomakong Su get away from Portland.
Pelini? Idk. Seems a loose cannon. Not sure I want another d coordinator as my head guy.
Carroll? Scared of shady shite and paper trails.
Shaw. Chad Morris. Briles. Peterson.
What about any former NFL guys or current assistants?

Weis , not Weiss
Payton, not Peyton
Petersen, not Peterson

Kelly, not Kelley

Belichick, not Belichik

Belichick, not Bellichick

Pelini, not Pellini

I'm gonna assume "Feanklin" is a typo.

But the rest of you geniuses should try reading about football more than writing your stupid arse opinions, maybe you'd at least learn to spell correctly.

I felt the same way with the buttheads who kept spelling Tuberville, Tubberville.

David Shaw is the correct answer. LSU is a step up from Stanford in level of commitment from the University and resources. Would he come here? I don't know that answer. The BS I read earlier about Stanford coaches going to the NFL while is a trend does not indicate destiny. LSU has more to offer than Stanford.

My #2 realistic possibility would be Mike Gundy, the coach from Oklahoma St. I would talk with James Franklin (Vandy), Kingsberry, Vic Fangio (49ers DC), and Pete Carmichael (Saints OC)

I would put out feelers to Gruden just to see (unlikely).

There are no coaches that would be more successful that are willing to come here. Since he was hired Miles has more wins than any AQ coach and he did this in the hardest division in the hardest conf.

So you're saying that Miles is the LSU program?

All you need is a good CEO who can recruit.

And which great recruiter is willing to leave his school?

Yes Les Miles has made lsu the powerhouse program that it is. To deny this is being dishonest.
