who cares if we're 8-3. we beat ull, tulane, la tech, should have lost to moo state, got lucky against georgia who obviously sucks too i.e. kentucky game. being 8-3 really has no significance with as many cream puff games as we've had. we have a losing sec record the last 2 years. it's time to go. there is so much talent in this state any coach would love the chance to coach here.

because Miles wins coach of the year next year.

You're kidding right?

no i'm not kidding. I expect to see much better play from Jefferson next season, this was his first season starting. I expect that Crowton/Miles are going to learn something about the neccessity of simplyfying formations and player packages (we don't need so many of them) and also the defense to be much improved with a second season under Chaviz (who is off to a pretty good start)

Unless their names are Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Bo Pellini, Jim Tressel....

BUT BUT BUT Weis isn't good even though everyone was in love with him when ND hired him which proves no hot coach would ever want to go to a 8-3 team when they fire their coach.

He will be back and beat the Gators, Bama and Ole Miss next year. Bank on it.

the people who cry 8-3 as if that's good, aren't very savvy about the game. If Miles was playing Mac's schedule, he'd be going 7-3 and 6-4.

here we go again...
IT IS NOT THE RECORD....

are you so blind ?

it is the way we are playing, the coaching, the penalties, the confusion, the clock management, etc.

yes, we won 8 by a narrow margin where we should not have even been close.....
and the TALENT is not being improved upon.

A ton of coaches will beg for this job. Everyone knows at this point that this isn't a Frank Solich situation. Everyone in the nation, including other coaches, knows that Miles is not a good coach.

most coaches would salivate at the chance to coach in this talent rich state and in this program

I just shake my head when I see this type of response. Haven't we been down this road before? We were loaded when Saban left and we DID NOT have the cream of the crop salivating at the thoughts of coming to LSU. Also, think about who would be choosing the new coach ... do we really think our AD from Duke would make a wise choice?

If Rich Rod had LSU's talent he'd be averaging 40 pts a game

After last night, I believe every coach in the country would understand Miles' dismissal.

This, plus the last two seasons of underachievement and no answers.

Negative sir. There are W clauses written into the contracts because those are the only things definite enough to be enforced by a court, but that doesn't mean that other factors don't count in evaluation of a coach.

Agreed. It's the same people that didn't get why there was so much complaining when we were winning but looked like crap and then call everyone negative. They don't get it and never will.
