With LSU having the head to head match, how is the winner of the West determined? I hope in such a scenario Bama is forced to forfeit one of their victories. If not, we just gave up any chance of winning out and getting to Atlanta. This is unacceptable.

Dumbo is the one who doesn't know that Bama would be declared the Division winner if it has same number of losses but better win %.

And Florida avoids a loss they believed assured and knows with this cancellation they can win the SEC East if they run the table and TN loses its SEC West games to Bama and Aggy.

Cancellation is insurance policy for Florida and Bama.

IF we are in that position come November, LSU needs to make a very public appeal to the winning% rule and ask for an exception under these circumstances.. Take it public..

If there is a tie, which there won't be.

Division games only come into play if it's a tie-breaker. Under no scenario can a 7-1 and 6-1 team tie. 7 wins > 6 wins, end of story

7-1 = .875
6-1 - .857

We're screwed either way

It isn't a tie. Bama has the better record in this scenario and goes.

Shouldn't the same be said of winning percentage?

Two teams with a 5-1 division record means there is a tie breaker.

That's My story and I'm sticking to it.

Teams can't help cancellations and there's no reason one or both schools should be penalized for it.

If they want to reschedule they have to do it now. Fla may want to wait to see if they can still win the East.

So quick question. If LSU finished 6-2 with loss to Aub and Florida, and Bama finishes 7-1 with a loss to LSU, do you consider these 2 teams "tied" b/c they both are 5-1 in the west?
