ETA: Long AF, off topic-ish, have no ill feelings for anybody here or our current team. Just love the tigers, and glad others here share that passion.

Bringing up bama as the measuring stick is not realistic. But we shouldn’t be “used to it”’or expect their level of success. But yeah it’s cool that we’ve been there before, and we’d all like to get back to that level. C

They’ve won as many natties in the last 6 years than LSU has won conference championships since the SECCG was started in 1992. If they were 4-2... of course they’d be pisses. Can you name the teams that even beat them since 2011? A&M, ole miss 2x, auburn, Ohio State, Clemson. Probably missing someone, but that’s 6 losses I can think of. We have 6 losses in the last 1 and 1/2 seasons. We are not on their level, just accept it. Compare our team to our own team each year, not theirs.

Since we’re focused on them though, have you noticed our closest games with them have been the unexpected and lesser teams over the last 6 years?

Our 2012 team lost in the last minute on the yeldon screen, while mett played the his best game of the season and a top career performance. A team that everyone would agree was not the 2013 team with mett, Hill, Odell, and Jarvis setting records who got beat by a solid margin.

Our 2014 anthony Jennings lead 8-5 lsu team had them late and blew it in an OT loss after having the game handed to us late. Then 7-0 LSU goes to Tuscaloosa in 2015 and get wrecked

Last year, with our interim coach and a two loss team... 10-0 was actually one of the more repectable games of any in our recent series.

Point being, anything can fricking happen. An 0-8 SEC record auburn played for the national championship the very next year. A 7-5 Ohio State won the national championship the next year. We are not about to do that, but shite man just enjoy the fricking ride no matter what. If you can’t deal with it, just sellout and be a winner elsewhwere.

Yes, we are not what we once were, but those years were most enjoyable because we knew the depths in which we had risen. If LSU sucked forever from here on out, at least we got to witness some golden years. There’s teams that have never, and will never see that.

This went way off topic, but we’ve fallen a long way from our dominant teams old. Don’t compare us to bama, but also don’t compare us to teams that have seen a 6-6 or less record in the last 16 years.
Florida and auburn both have 4-8 seasons in that span
UGA has gone 6-7.
I don’t actually know Tennessee’s worst in that time

But our worst is 8-5. And maybe we finally do do worse this year and hit rock bottom, but frick it all. Geaux tigers. Enjoy the ride. Let’s play the rest of the season with pride and win some more games. Because losing to the worst LSU team in a long time sounds worse than being the worst LSU team in a while

these same hypocritical mfs

That boo’d Lee off the field for Jefferson to play freshman year after all the pick 6’s. Are also the same ones that think 1/9/12 was lost because we didn’t put in the man that threw 3 int’s to the same team in one half earlier that year.

I understand the frustration, and would agree with making changes when plan A has repeatedly yielded no results, but everyone should support these dudes that suit up to live out their dream every Saturday. frick your weak arse feelings if you can’t handle our team losing. Show support or at least show some class. Changes in leadership will happen as necessary. People aren’t blind to the problems at hand, but to completely go off the deepend right now would be the most devastating of all things.

Reality is we gave O a chance, and we’re riding with it at least for the time being.
We can’t just go firing each coach year after year in the first half of the season. frick man, players openly came out and said they wanted O. How can deny that?

It’ll all work out. And at the very worst, LSU will still be playing football on Saturdays. They’ll still be waiting with forgiveness and open arms to all those that abandon them in the darkest of times.

Forgot he was supposed to have us in the playoffs this year.

Well, that was why we fired the last guy. And the last guy had won it all once, and played for a title a second time.

So tell me again, why are we supposed to now be so lenient with the next guy? And let's not sugarcoat things here: Orgeron didn't lose to some respected national powers this season, he lost to Troy at home, and got smoked by Mississippi State. That might get you fired at a lot of schools.

But we're only supposed to lose it BECAUSE of O. We were ranked higher than auburn to start the season...correct?

I don't give O a pass because he sucked up til now and then wins a game we SHOULD be favored against to begin with. In tiger stadium.

Get outta here with that bullshite. I don't like that he's a bad football coach and a horrible face of the program. Couldn't care less about his heritage.

Absolutely. That's why most of us are here.

In terms of fan expectations? So therefore my expectations to want our team to be the best are unrealistic?

Hole E crap. No thanks, I'm good.

This is how mediocrity begins. At what point then, would YOU become unsatisfied enough to let our administration know about it? 8-4? 6-6? 4-8?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10-0 was actually one of the more respectable games of any in our recent series.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See, that sentence there, and the way you phrased it says a lot. The word that's missing from your sentence there is "losses". LOSSES.

As in: 10-0 was actually one of the more respectable losses of any in our recent series.

quote
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you can't deal with it just sellout and be a winner elsewhere.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I literally laughed out loud at this.

a 6-6 record or less in the last 16 years.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, looks like we found your level of fan expectation then, yes? Can we put you down for 9-3? Because that's halfway between 12-0 and 6-6.

quote
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's play the rest of the season with pride and win some more games.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolutely! And maybe just maybe, if the whole team had played with pride from the start of the season, I bet we'd be undefeated right now. Or is that too unrealistic to assume?

Funny how our Tigers found their pride as a team when fans started jumping on their butts. What a mother-frickin' coincidence!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry, I had to read that last sentence three times before I understood you were saying that its actually a consolation to you that Florida sucks more than LSU?

I'll repeat the last sentence of my original post: I really don't know what to say.

All the same ones who bitched and whined about us complaining about Miles are complaining about O. Hypocrites, really. It’s hilarious.

I think it will add fuel to the fire either way. If they win “it’s bc O was told to stfu and let the coordinators work” and if they lose well we have all read that book.
