Maybe. But history says it'll earn us a top 8 seed.

Gotta win 7 of the final 9. That’s a tough task.

definitely. Doable though. 2 out of 3 against Ole Miss at home. 2 out of 3 against Arkansas(easily toughest task). Sweep Auburn

None of their Vandy’s remaining 9 games are against teams above .500 in conference. My guess is Vandy gets to 22 - 8 at least.

Probably not but 20 wins probably guarantees us a top 8 seed. That’s all I really care about and winning the SEC tournament means more than winning the league title in my opinion

1. Vandy will win the SEC Championship easily. They were the preseason favorite so that is expected.

2. It is highly unlikely that LSU will get to 20-10. 19-11 is possible but 18-12 or 17-13 is more likely. MY bet is 18-12.

3. LSU is not going to be a top 8 seed this season. Injuries to top players/pitchers at crucial moments have made the bed we are in now.

Vanderbilt could sit their starters and win the east.

If Arkansas doesn't win the west then it'll be whoever gets to 19 games.

And then will proceed to choke in the postseason per usual.

LSU needs to stay on course until the team gets healthier.

Top 8 seed is iffy as of now.

Top 16 seed is almost assured barring a collapse down the stretch.

8 seed or better would be better of course, but a top 16 guarantees we play at home the first round.

No. Vandy will end up with more wins than that.

If say Vandy wins the conference with more than 20 wins. The tigers would probably need to at least play on the last day of the SECT this year only because unless Vandy, Georgia, or MSU stumble badly the next few weeks they will be national seeds. I can't see 4 of the top 8 coming from the same conference. Not saying its not possible, but it's doesn't seem like something the committee would do. While saying that, I hope the tigers get hot, and healthy and make their way to Omaha.

Vanderbilt is going to win the SEC and I don't see LSU going 7-2 over there next 3 SEC Series.

Winning the sec or the sec west doesnt matter, getting a national seed means alot more

Winning the conference tournament in baseball and basketball can help bump up your seed a little bit but it isn’t even in the same stratosphere with a regular season league title. As far as season long accomplishments a tournament title doesn’t really mean much. Just because we have done it a bunch doesn’t mean we should try to elevate it’s importance

It means a hell of a lot more than you are explaining.

Not really, lsu as a baseball program is kind of above celebrating those things beyond the year they are happening

This isn’t true. Getting to the game may help, but the seeds are usually determined before that game is final.

I disagree. If it weren’t for the SEC tournament title in 2014 and the run we made in the tournament in 2016, then we wouldn’t have been a national seed either of those years. Being a top 8 seed and having the opportunity to host a super regional at your own park is huge
