I'm not going because of how the SEC is scheduling LSU with so many tough games. It's no accident Bama and Georgia skated their way to the SEC Champ game. I do like the match up with Clemson.

I'm also losing interest in college football. I don't think Bama should have been in the NC game last year. We are now close to having an NC game between 2 teams who have not won their conference. Money is hurting the college game.

I live just a few hours from Atlanta, not going.

It is a BS move by the selection committee to put us there this year.

arse to mouth should be in this game not LSU

So, if it is down to a 10-2 A&M and a 10-2 LSU for the 2nd SEC bcs slot and A&M is chosen, just remember it's a combo of them showing up better and style points. Despite if we beat them or not.

You better believe had FSU won that they'd be BCS bound, not us this year.

Well let's see. This is 2012, and LSU has traveled extremely well for the last 11 years of bowl games. But you are saying that A&M would have been selected for a BCS bowl over LSU this season. So how would an LSU fan boycott of the Chick Fila Bowl in 2012 affect a decision that has already been made?

Maybe it would shed some light on the schedule and bowl selection injustices placed on LSU in the last few years.

And as for 2010, Arkansas deserved the Sugar over LSU, but LSU finished 10-2. Alabama finished 9-3, and LSU beat Bama. Who got the Capital One Bowl invite?

WEre you also this adamanst about SEC scheduling in 2002-04 when LSU had a very bad-mediocre UF team and Bama had to play a pretty good Tennessee team every year?

But we didn't travel well. Oh, wait. But we weren't excited enough about it so we might not have traveled well. Hmm, not that either. Our expectations were higher than the Cap1 Bowl so we didn't deserve to be picked.

I think that is the galaxy of possibilities the OP has posited in this thread. It looks like travel doesn't matter at all.

why?

Their fans are actually pumped and not embarrassed by a 10-2 season. They also have JFF which is > toss dive. That's the reason they are more liked.
Style matters and their fans will travel better than our spoiled bitchass fans.

There's only 1 injustice I can think of and it was 05. That's it.

well, we were just there in 09 and bitched and moaned about the field so much they didn't want us back.

If it's another close decision between us and atm again, we just made the decision a lot easier.

Despite what you think, there is no conspiracy against LSU.

I'm just asking for an equal schedule, that's all. We are getting hosed again next year.

Ordering or not Ordering pre-sell ticket orders is the only way Fans affect LSU and the Bowls. So you are mistaken.

Bama travels better than LSU. Sorry, but Bama is a national brand, while LSU is not. Just the way it is.

Besides, we were in the Cap 1 in 09 and fans bitched that they would never go back. You better believe they considered that when making their decision.

If people are upset they need to voice their opinion to Alleva who signed the paperwork on Friday and did very little to promote LSU to a better bowl game.

the SEC doesn't know when teams are gonna be good and bad. Hell, who would've thought Auburn adn Arky were going to be this bad?

An Equal schedule would require 13 conference games or 4 four team pods and 16 conference members.

Not the title of your thread

I'm pretty certain that LSU had requested 20,000 tickets to the COTTON BOWL. LSU fans weren't disappointed to have a Cotton Bowl matchup with Texas or Oklahoma.

Hey wait a minute... hasn't A&M played Oklahoma pretty much every year for the last 15 years?

I didn't realize how scared LSU fans are of our SEC schedule.

Just win the games. If you can't win the games on your schedule, then you are probably not the best team in the conference or nation anyway. Especially when losing to bama. We have no right to bitch about their schedule.

A&M will travel to dallas better than LSU. That is a fact. Sorry. Especially since some on here said they would not go because we play there next year and we played there last year.

That plus STYLE matters.

If you have a hard schedule you won't get STYLE points. That would be almost as disastrous as not traveling!

No...that is for general public consumption. LSU will be on the hook for a certain amount of tickets, regardless.

I think that the ticket allotment per school is around 12,000 and LSU season ticket holders only requested 8,000. Maybe the general public will buy the remaining tickets. If not, LSU will lose money on the ones we didn't sell.

There seems to be a lot of fail in this thread.

I guess you're saying that if LSU fans don't travel well for this Peach Bowl, the next time LSU finishes 1-2 they'll be looking at the Indy Bowl?

Note this from the Advocate:

The Capital One may have even wanted the Tigers, but the SEC wanted to protect SEC Championship Game loser Georgia.

Why didn't the SEC want to protect the 10-2 SECCG loser, LSU Tigers in 2005? They sent them to the Peach vs Miami which ended in a 40-3 score. "Style points"?

Are you suggesting that Bowl committees would rather see 40-3 blowouts than close games?

It's not about whether LSU fans travel or not, it's not about "style points", it's about the LSU brand - it just ain't that hot nationally. We have no pull. The SEC front office has no need to respect our program, they feel more justified in helping others.

What are you gonna do...?

frick 'em all, just win, baby.
