I don't think I really have another option, do I.

No, I think TAF should tell Alleva who to hire.

Ain't happenin. But IF in some fairytale world where CU had the cash to pay CLM the amt of money he makes here, Yeah. Why not? He's going to get the best man possible for the job.

Unless you believe the colossal ineptitude of Miles to be contagious.

Not really.

I do think Leech would be great at LSU. He did well in the Big 12 and didnt have the talent that over half the league had.

He would have talent at LSU to work with.
And no pussies that cry about being sent to sit in a equipment shed...

Nah, the best course of action would be for Alleva to start a thread of the Rant and ask the ranters who they would like and make a list from that.

Duh! ranter logic.

Quit dreaming. Miles isn't going anywhere because no one can afford his salary and because he isn't getting fired for having a winning record. Now go back to work.

CU doesn't have the cash. Football out here isn't even a side show. its barely mentioned.

I like Alleva and think he is more than qualified. He gets lumped into being a basketball guy, but he actually played college football. These things are never one person's decision, anyway.

First of all...I don't think Miles is going anywhere but since this is a hypothetical situation then i would say yes I trust Alleva...because we have to realize that hiring a football coach at a football school like LSU is critical not only to the success of the football program, obviously, but also to the financial success of all athletic programs at LSU besides baseball which can support itself....with this being said a decision of this magnitude will not be made by just Alleva...there will be some form of committe chosen to find the right coach for our program.

I find it humorous that you're calling out LSU's Athletic Director by saying he doesn't know anything about sports. I've heard the guy speak in front of classroom before. One of the reasons he came to LSU from Duke was that his true passion is football. You really think he's not going to do all he can to get the best coach possible when/if the time comes to make a hire?

Interesting post from a CU message board...

Send him to us tomorrow. With all due respect until Saban & Les got
there you haven't been the talk of D1 FB. As an outsider that enjoys
watching your Tigers the vacume has been at QB. Why they haven't
been able to recruit a stud puzzles me. Good luck. Years ago I
attended a night game down there and it is one of the greatest
college atmosphers I have ever enjoyed. Had a blast. Tiger meat
Tiger meat still rings in my ears !!

Despite what the Negatiger nation thinks, Miles is actually a pretty good coach. Sure, his public speaking skills suck. But if one looks at the end results, LSU remains at or close to the top of the SEC since he's been here; LSU recruits great talent; and LSU plays great bowl games (and usually wins).

Football in Co is about as popular as Rugby in Alaska. CU can't afford Miles' salary unless Pete Coors sells off half his brewery.

Miles is staying in Baton Rouge.

Hopefully GC is leaving ASAP.

I would hope he would hire a proven coach, not a coach who managed 8-5, 9-4 records at Oklahoma St.
You can thank Saban for the timing of his departure. Bitch waited so long to come clean that all higher profile coaches had taken jobs already.

Put a poll on The Rant, restrict it to posters with 'x' posts and give us 5 choices. I promise you we couldn't do any worse than he would.
