Proven winner? He's been to three major schools - UT, USC and OM - in 11 years and has yet to win a conference championship or even make it to a championship game.

The only thing that Kiffin has proven is he doesn't know how to win championships.

I know a lot of y'all will say no one can a win a championship at OM, but what about his time at Tennessee and USC, two teams that are loaded with money and have some the best facilities in the country.

You need to put the crack pipe down or find a better drug dealer because whatever he is selling you shouldn't make you delusional.

Hmmm a story that doesn’t have a chapter titled “Atlanta”.

I knew it wouldn't be a popular post because some people don't know how to take their purple sunglasses off and look at the reality of the situation. These are the same fans that wanted Tom Herman, but thankfully LSU avoided that disaster.

Going after Kiffin just shows how desperate the UF and LSU fan bases are that they will gamble on a coach that has proven he doesn't know how to win championships.

That is a long way to say - “be happy that for the first time since Saban, we have a coach whose success at LSU, draws interest from other programs.”

I would absolutely expect him to at some point in the not too distant future, which I'd be fine with, I never liked Kiffin and probably never will. If he's my coach I'd learn to live with it, like I did with Dale for a long time. Coaches come and go but my love for LSU is unconditional or about as unconditional as can be.

I’m not sure you know that he was only at Tennessee for one season. If you want to criticize Kiffin for Tennessee, then how he left is fair game. Not playing for a title in that one year doesn’t really strengthen your argument.

Took over a team on probation. They would have played for the PAC-12 title in 2011 otherwise.

Neither Saban, Miles, nor Orgeron had ever won championships prior to coming to LSU. The last HC LSU hired had the best resume at the time of his hire than any FB coach ever hired by LSU. In fact, he was the only one who actually won national championship (D-2). How did that work out? Regardless, who is the person who has "proven he knows how to win championships" you are proposing LSU hire? Smart? Saban? Dabo? Day? (outside of Oregron and Harbaugh, who wouldn't be options for obvious reasons) those are the guys who have proven they can win championships over the last 10 years. Or are you suggesting LSU hire Jimbo or Gene Chizik?

Based on what, exactly?

He was fired from two HC jobs (Okland and USC). He left FAU for a bigger program. He's been at Ole Miss for 6 years now despite multiple years of interest from other programs. It seems like this opinion is based SOLELY on his decision to leave Tennessee after 1 season...16 years ago. But even then he left to coach at a place where (1) he had coached for 6 years and (2) was significantly better (at the time) than Tennessee.

If he comes to LSU where do you think he would go? His alma mater is Fresno St, so there is no Miles to Michigan situation to worry about. He doesn't have deep ties to any other major programs aside from USC...where he's already been a HC. And if he is winning big at LSU, which would make him attractive to other programs, I can't see the pull to make a lateral move. If you can win championships at LSU you can win them anywhere. It's not like he would have to go elsewhere to chase the "glory" he couldn't achieve at LSU. Plus, LSU has proven it will pay top dollar for a football coach.

The only plausible change would be to the NFL. But that's present for many college coaches given the NFL probably offers a better quality of life. And he's (a) already lived that life and (b) worked for a coach (Saban) who left a championship program at LSU for the NFL and quickly realized it wasn't for him.

It's like you were getting dumber as you kept adding reasons that Kiffin could be leaving Oxford. At first I was gonna respond, but it's just too much to fk with. Happy Thanksgiving and geaux to Hell.
