Bama would have hired him (or tried to) and the whole country would have applauded Bama’s AD. They also would have said he was an ideal fit and will win multiple titles at Bama.

Would have been much different than the negative publicity and hate Kelly got for coming to LSU. Anyone agree?

You're dreaming up alternate realities to get upset about

Why?

Not upset. Just saying that would have sucked balls but Woodward and LSU went after a huge fish two years ago and got him. Had those guys not done that, I think Kelly at Bama would be terrifying. I’m glad our job opened up first.

He’s not saying you’re upset, he’s pointing out you’re creating scenarios to be upset about.

Why not just sit there and be happy LSU hired Kelly and not start a useless thread?

It’s an appreciation post. If it’s so useless, please keep responding.

I totally see your point, and somewhat agree.

That said, the whole country outside of South Bend pretty much applauded LSU’s hire of Kelly.

It was a pretty unanimous opinion that LSU made a good/great hire with Kelly.

Agreed. The idiots on here will bash you but cbssports.com already wrote a piece proving your point. Calling their new coach a “perfect” fit at Bama. frick them.

Why would Bama hire and Old ready to retire individual to run their program?
Without the Notre Dame name, behind his name, he would be just another old Coach.
Look at his special teams and defense.
Third year before he has attempted to fix the defense.
Specia teams, we don't know.

Well, a possible maybe is a little hard to classify as a certainty, but maybe that's just me.
