No, I think the job has always been open and will continue to be. The last 'lock' at QB we had was Matt Flynn in the BCSNG.

Where exactly would LSU's multi-NFL receiver passing attack be ranked amongst college programs after a 250+ day?

That should be a hint.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that doesn't happen at all. Considering Jefferson has only thrown 250+ yards all of twice in 26 games started. Hell he has only thrown 200+ yards 6 times in 26 starts.

We waited all year for this to happen and ... anyway, it's hard to see us getting 250 yards in the air in the upcoming game. We just don't do that.

Mett is starting and thats that. The coaching staff has had enough of JJ and he knows it.

If this is sarcasm, forgive me. But, I'd give 5 to 1 odds that JJ will be trotting out on to the field for our first offensive possession against Oregon on Sept 3.

If JJ was capable of that, we would not have recruited a JUCO QB

The biggest reason we recruited a JUCO QB was to avoid having a RS Freshman (i.e., the Jarrett Lee situation rearing its ugly head again) starting in 2012.

No matter how bad Jefferson is, I just can't see miles benching him.

Not miles style.

When has miles ever benched a qb?
