I believe the LSU defense will have difficulty containing Jake
Armanti Edwards disagrees.

If Jefferson plays well or not you all still have to stop the RUN!!! Which is not gonna happen!!!

I can see you thinking that and who knows, you may even be right.
The way I see iot, Washington has NO idea what they are about to experience. They havent seen speed like what is about to be unleased on them by the defense.
Ask Ohio State, Okla, etc.

I think we're in this until the end. Contrary to what many of the LSU fans think, Jefferson is still very much unproven.
This will be a big game for him. Prime time game, road opener, national TV - and all the pressure in the world.
Ummm...Georgia Tech? Bowl game?
and Washington is no Georgia Tech

Yeah, I really see no point in arguing with you at this point.

Yes they do. They play SC every year, so they have played some great teams...it's not like they play in the Big 10.
BOOM!

this game will be over at halftime, and I will be drunk.

Why? Everyone else did last year, and we have one of the best QB's in the country.
By everyone else I'm guessing you mean Georgia and Florida, so I guess Washington is on that level with talent now?

Prime time game, road opener, national TV - and all the pressure in the world. During the LSU bowl game, many, by that point, had written LSU off completely. However, now, with most in the media "expecting" LSU to come out and blow us away, all the pressure will be on LSU, and particularly, Jefferson. I believe the LSU defense will have difficulty containing Jake, but the more I think about it, the more I think that LSU's fate in this game could be based on how well Jefferson plays.
Whistling pass the graveyard.

You will witness that the "SEC speed" is no myth

Locklear only played in 4 games due to injury.
He was 50-93 512 yards 1 TD 0 INT
56 rushes 180 yards 3.2avg 3 TD's

They are beat by USC mentally before they ever take the field. LSU will have more speed than they have seen on defense.

But there was no pressure on him for that game. Many had written LSU off completely last year. It was an "Us against the world" mentality. However, it will be interesting to see if he can play with well with all the pressure on him - something he has yet to do.

You're right. Taking over at the season's end as a true freshman when the fanbase is royally pissed with the team.. that's not pressure.

SEC speed is a myth. Where was Alabama's speed against Utah last year?
Plus, as was mentioned somewhere else in this thread, we play USC every year. Our players know NFL speed. CSS knows speed. He will have our guys ready. ;)

Just because you felt no pressure on yourself while watching, doesn't mean there wasn't pressure on the QB in the game.
