2On offense I would run Power and Counter until the cows come home. Literally don’t throw the ball. Do this using 12 personnel to get those big TE’s on the field at the same time and put them on 11 or 18’s side for the double down to backer scheme.
On defense they just need to load the box and stunt their d line with a spy to get JD5 looking at the rush instead of the WRs

Daniels WAS throwing the ball downfield until the Arkansas game where he didn’t want to take any chances challenging the DB’s 1 on 1.
Idk what happened to him but he just can’t pull the trigger when he has time to scan the field. If it’s not a designed timing route or check down he isn’t throwing it downfield. DJ durkin figured it out before saturdays game.

Remember when Saban pulled his starter in the championship game and put in a true freshman at QB in the 2nd half? That true freshman who happened to throw a long pass to some WR from Amite to win AL another national championship.

OMG, if there has ever been an example of what a joke this board is; this is the message. You just wrote use 20 personnel to get those big TEs on the field, and 20 personnel means 2 backs and 0, uh I mean zero, TEs. Perhaps we should next discuss the difference between a zone read and an RPO.

Ok now do the thousands of other times teams have done this and the backup proved to be not as good as the starter.
