re: If Harris hadn't thrown that pick

You're probably right, but firing ball after ball 5-10 yards over the heads of wide-arse open receivers who were less than 15 yards away is just flat-out unacceptable for a junior QB.

I don't think so after last week. He just doesn't have it right now. I really hope he gets it together and both he and Etling push each other. But Harris has shown a huge lack of development after 2 full seasons at LSU.

Harris' issues are mental. If he doesn't throw the pick, the pressure would not have been as high last weekend. He likely would not have pressed as much. So I think it's highly likely he is still the QB

People higher up forced miles to make a change if Harris didn't produce against jsu....it wasn't his decision

Is Miles still coach?
Then, yes.
Then, yes.

Not sure. it seems to me Miles knew he had to do something, but just wanted to give him another shot at being a gamer. I think Miles was looking for a reason to make this change, but didn't want to lose the team over Harris.
Harris won't okay much unless etling falls apart.

you can blame the coaches all you want but you are extremely biased not to put the lions share of the blame on the athlete himself...in a teacher/student relationship the STUDENT is more important than the teacher...
While I agree with this point there is also a pretty strong track record for the "teacher" in this situation. If a few kids in the class are failing you could point to the student but when the entire class is always failing its time to fire the teacher.

It was Will Clapps false start, actually. We probably don't throw it there.
I'm certainly not blaming it on him, because LSU should have been up multiple scores with the talent there. That being said, the false start definitely created the situation. Until that happened, all I could think about was whether the Trent Domingue scholarship situation was going to bite Miles in the arse.

And LSU kicks the field goal to win at Wisky, is he still our starting QB?
No. Not cerebral enough, and he didn't go 6/14 against Jacksonville St..

Butterfly effect- A butterfly fluttered its wings somewhere which caused a chain reaction which eventually caused the pic and the saving of season.

So what I am understanding is that Clapp is our season MVP so far?

You may need to talk about what more talented players are riding the pine?

Yea, he'd still be starting and prolly would have played the whole game vs. JSU. But at some point, probably against Aubie, he would have fricked up badly and Miles would replace him anyway. It was only a matter of time for BH unfortunately.....given his apparent lack of growth and possible regression from last year.

It was Coaching not execution, just like his own assistants, analysts, and other SEC coaches have said. LSU should have never been so conservative that they were in that situation after leading 14-13 in the 3rd. Miles promised to open the offense and it just is not in him.
Brandon Harris was sacked twice and pressured on eight of 24 drop backs. He was under center 80% of the time, could not see the field, or elude pressure. On his quick slants and shotgun passes he was very effective.
The Int was a very poor play call to the left. No one stayed back to block the blizter. Harris was throwing across his body, off-balance from barely eluding a tackle.
The 0-Line was crappy as usual at pass protection and dinged up from "Big Cat Drills and a slew of preseason injuries" including season enders for LaCouture and Washington. "Next man up" is inane. They have Catapult Sports Monitors, and Vector mouth pieces that measure fatigue, cumulative trauma, dehydration, and concussive blows. Limiting pre-season injuries at all costs when you play slow, predictable, smashmouth, is particularly important for LSU. Save LF for the games/plays that count. He was gassed by November last year, the whole team assigned to block for his Heisman campaign, which was all puffery and demoralizing to the receivers.
LF was 11 for 36 in the 1st Qtr, had no TDs, Guice had a fumble. LF was injured in pre-season practice and likely not 100%, he was reinjured. His most effective and least contact plays were 2 passes from Harris. He is a great receiver and the D cannot load up on that like runs that everyone, even fans watching on TV, know are coming. This drives fans nuts.
"Lane Kiffen and Nick Saban are a little smarter than Miles and company, they don't just run it anyways when the box is loaded, they take what the defense gives them"

That's what I thought at the time also. Timing is everything.
