If you can give me any argument on how giving some of these kids a 60 instead of a 70, ESPECIALLY a senior, is in anyway productive Im all ears.
I expect you're not at all open minded, but here goes.
Foster is in pain right now. He's embarrassed as heck, and he's missing the championship season. He won't get an SEC championship ring, etc.
And these are good things. The wounds will heal, but the emotional scar will be a lesson to him the rest of his life. He is probably a stereo-typical athlete who was the toast of his high school, and has cleaned up on woman and accolades his entire life. But here's the key: he's never deserved any of it. He's not a super hard worker like Bregman. He's just a kid who was blessed with everything physical - looks, athletic ability, everything.
He comes to LSU, and suddenly he can't just walk on the field and start - not in football and not in baseball. So finally, in his senior year, he starts hitting, and he's starting. The good times are rolling again. But as the saying goes: Nothing fails like success. And he couldn't deal with it. He stopped paying the price.
This failure will do him a lot of good, and that's the main answer to your question.

A very close friend of mine who is friends with a player on the team told me the other day the class that made him flunk out was a class that's only grade was a project due at the end of the year. What I was told was Foster told his parter that he will do all the work if his parter would do the money raising part of the project. When it came time for ole boy to turn in the money for the project he skipped town with the money and never turned it in. Which caused them to get a failing grade.

Do you realize how many schools are pencil whipping these test for players and we never hear about it. If the ruling is in his favor then yes I would reinstate him to the team unconditionally. Period.

if he's eligible, he's on the team.

Has anyone said "we are 3-0 without him" yet?
Posted on 5/12/15 at 7:04 am to ell_13
i'm sure someone somewhere has... But, i'd certainly let him back on the team.
Posted on 5/12/15 at 7:06 am to LSUTygerFan
I would too. If it is what people are speculating it is... No reason to leave him off if he wins the appeal.

If he wins then he didn't break any rule so why should he be punished?? Man I hope you don't have kids yet.
"I'm going to punish you because you almost didn't do what I told you".

even if he never starts another game. It would be nice to have the option at 2b and in the OF.

Fairness is one thing. Team dynamic is another. It does somewhat depend on the circumstance in that his coaches and teammates need to believe it was an honest mistake. If they think he's just getting special treatment, then there could be animosity over him allowing it to get to that point. But like I said, if it's what everyone seems to think it is, he should be let back no problem. Doesn't mean the situation isn't a disappointment though.

Wrongfully accused? I thought he just had bad grades? Did he plagiarize or cheat on a test?

Goddamn you posted some stupid shite in this thread.

People are speculating about a group project that wasn't turned in or completed. Something of that nature. Wouldn't completely absolve him of responsibility but who hasn't been a part of a shitty group in these situations. I don't know details though.

Haha no shite, nobody is accusing him of anything. I'm pretty sure the name he uses in class is Jared Foster and he put's that on his papers. Maybe he was going by an alias

i have a feeling he was involved in a few groups we'd all like to be involved in.
Posted on 5/12/15 at 7:42 am to Broski
Did he get caught cheating or what?
Posted on 5/12/15 at 7:55 am to ell_13
I've read a few post about this and i'm having a hard time believing that and I also have a hard time believing that he has any chance of returning to the team the way this has been handled so far. As much as I would like this to be the case and he return I just don't see it happening.

maybe he got stuck with a group of baseball hating tRant posters and they sabotaged the project? That's what I'm going with.
