He has already been touted by Reggie Bush for the USC job and some say he might be considered for the FSU job.

I can see a controversy.
If they decide to fire O they should announce the new guy at the same time if at all possible.
If the process becomes a public spectacle I fully expect some kind of controversy unrelated to coaching ability.
