Does give us Tiger fans a hell of a lot to celebrate for at the end of the season and is named the Head Coach, does he retain Steve Ensminger as OC? Promote Craig? Bring in some hot new talent?

Hey coach, nice first post. Welcome to the rant!

If he keeps winning he can retain or hire whoever he wants

I had a similar post last week.

The consensus is that if CEO is our HC after this year: we will get another OC because Ensminger does not want to be OC due to his age and doesn't want to have a high pressure job. My vote for OC is Major Applewhite. He is a BR native, was a QB at Catholic High, QB at Texas where he set multiple records until Colt McCoy enrolled. Since then he has been an OC at Texas for Mack Brown and is now the OC/QB Coach under Tom Herman at UH. I hope this helps.

You'll have to ask him.

I like the Major Applewhite idea as well. He has already coached in the SEC at a high pressure program for a high pressure coach.

Personally I think we should hire the most qualified person, I don't think looks should be a factor. That's pretty shallow.

Yes it is, but it does look bad when your OC looks like UGA's OC.

if LSU goes undefeated the rest of the season then doesn't seem logical to replace Ensminger as OC and of course Coach O would be named HC. Can't see to many changes being made to the staff after having a miracle season like that.

If Nick Saban is interested in the job but we run the table do you still turn him down? We should conduct a proper search regardless of how we do this season.

I thought about that until I considered that to some degree, the offense is still operating under Cam's system. Would make sense if Ensminger wanted the job, like LSUAlum14 mentioned, and if CEO believed Ensminger's system is what he's looking for.

Major applewhite would be fun. Another good ole louisiana boy. Have Steve on staff still. Another Louisiana good ole boy.

The only question is, where do we find a better DC? Don't get me wrong, DA is great. Buuuuuuuuut I worry about his ties to the state. He doesn't have a accent. He's not from here. We need a Louisiana boy calling them plays.

Am I doing this right??

Your thread is about to be anchored because of the title and because there is a coaching changes board.

No we keep DA. Ensminger would go back to TE coach. He is comfortable there and again, doesn't want to be OC after this year.

I don't think Ensminger will want to be the OC long-term. I believe he just wants to be the TE coach and go about his business. That point has been mentioned before.
