What seemed impossible may come true. The sky may not be falling in Tiger Stadium. If Coach O can pick up a couple plug in safeties, and couple corners, a couple LB’s, one all around gifted running back, and 2 Olinemen from Juco or whatever, he might can make a serious run next season. The pick up of a SEC caliber running back and secondary are key along with a couple Olinemen. Finding two Olinemen who could start may be the hardest task but it appears a must. Just MPO

You are asking for a WHOLE lot.

You also forgot to mention he needs to find competent coaches to coach these players.

We need 5 OL this recruiting class. Hopefully more Cushenberry and Damien Lewis types over Shanahan types.

If we do not get 4 or 5 quality OL this class, we will have an 8 or 9 win ceiling.

Safety is fine next year. We have like 4 committed

I think the RB you want is already on the roster. Just don't know which one. Hoping Emery or Bradford develop

LBs are gonna be fine IMO as long as they aren't playing for or coach by Pelini

We will be great at CB next year IMO

Time management

Coach O has some areas in his coaching to improve on, no doubt. I’m sure he’d probably admit his time management skills in this game was lacking.

“the RB you want is already on the roster”

I couldn’t disagree more. LSU needs a top all around back for this style of offense.

Emery and Bradford like I said fit the skillset you are looking for. If not Kiner.

That said, Bradford hasn't necessarily had the chance to run the ball yet nor has Emery really had the blocking and play selection to get him passes out of the backfield

Clyde made defenders miss when the blocking wasn’t there, LSU does not have that.

Clyde is also had one of the best RB seasons in program history.

I'm not sure you know what an all around back is

Actually, we probably don’t need any of that.

Hampton and McGlothern at safety. Toles might be good, too.

Ricks and Stingley at corner should put that foolishness to rest.

RB? We have a big pile of good RBs.

LB’s? Maybe. Clark, White Baskerville and Sampah sounds very good to me. I never jumped off the Damone Clark bandwagon. I think he’s a very good player, as is Baskerville.

Oline? We could always use another Damien Lewis, but without him we’ll have a good line.

In short, I don’t think we actually need anything. This team should be very good next year. If they beat Bama, I predict they will be in the SEC Championship.

We’re fine with skill positions. We need to recruit OL and DL.

Unless they are JUCO or Grad transfer, I don't think OL recruiting will have an impact on next season. Certainly, for the future it will.

And actually, Cushenberry, Lewis and Shanahan are all the same "type".

Under-recruited players who can develop. With a full offseason in the system, Shanahan will be a solid player.

He's already better than most people think.

Actually we do! LSU can’t survive the SEC without a big play safety, Oline improvement and a top SEC back who can pound it. It also make defenders miss which LSU doesn’t have at the moment.

If O can’t stop guys from quitting, he will struggle to have consistently good teams.

It's called recruiting, supposedly his expertise. He needs to recruit better.

I believe Coach O just stopped the bleeding with this win. This type of win will provide great energy and motivation for recruiting.
