Not true. In the past 5 years Bama has gone 60-7. Their losses came against #1, #2 (twice), #6, #10, #15, and #19. IF they win against ND they'll have won the West 3x, the SEC 2x, the NC 3x. They'll have a Heisman winner. In the past 4 NFL drafts they've placed 11 kids in the first round. They've had this level of success while losing 8 JRs to the 1st round the past 3 drafts.
LSU is an absolute powerhouse football team, but to say Bama hasn't reached the traditional definition of a dynasty (IF they beat ND) just seems like not wanting to admit that about a rival team.

Lets see, In 2011 they beat UF 38-10 and in 2012 they beat UGA 32-28 and since LSU beat USCe by 2 then Bama should easily win by 6.

if Bama loses to ND, both LSU and Bama will have played in 3 BCS championship games and won 2 of them. The difference in the BCS is that LSU also has 2 other Sugar Bowl wins (Illinois and Notre Dame) and Bama only has the loss to Utah in the Sugar

It would have been a PR disaster for a few months, but a few championships would have softened the blow.

An attitude like the one you're displaying is why LSU hasn't won a National Title since 07. There is only one program in college football right now that is being pushed to do it year in and year out by the fans and coaches. If they know it's ok to not win it as long as they have a "good" season, they will never win it.

olgoi, if LSU had taken Saban back as you suggest it would have been much worse than a PR disaster. I, for one would have stopped supporting such a callous institution. And I believe most people would feel the same way. An earlier poster said it right. Some of you do not deserve to be fans of LSU and I wish you would just go away.

Playing in 1 National Title game vs playing in 3 games doesn't equal each other. It doesn't make us right there with Bama. Playing in 3 National Title games would make is right there with them. I don't know why LSU fans are obsessed with Saban and Bama?
