If Bama (Especially with Saban) or Notre Dame Were Doing This, What Would the Media Say?

This is a rhetorical question, BTW.
When Bama was flat out busted in 2012 by the Yahoo sports writer, who even had receipts supplied by former players, the media laughed it off and swept it under the rug. Years of Dodge Chargers (among other things) were excused. I also remember the Bama players arrested but released because of "lack of Air Conditioning".
I could go on and on....
As soon as everyone can start paying players, one of the best coaches quit. The level playing field wasn't going to work.
Yet because LSU is doing it, we get the predictable media outrage.
This is laughable to me. Yeah CFB is a shell of its former self and I don't like it, but this is what it is now. Adapt or fall behind. My alma mater has not only chosen to adapt but also lead the way in the process. Problem is, my alma mater isn't one of the media darling blue bloods.

If ND was doing it it would be labeled as a humanitarian story about how Freeman is helping kids fight the system.

Marcus Freeman would be deemed the best coach in America for "supporting players in their fight for fair play against the NCAA" followed by Sports Illustrated articles like "Freeman - The Future of College Football"

Bingo, especially the players that are minorities.
It would be a feel good story that would be discussed with player profiles before, and during every game.

Keep in mind when the whole Albert Means scandal happened, Alabama broke both NCAA and SEC rules.
Yet the SEC did nothing, not a sanction, not an admonishment, not an SEC fine or penalty.

Truth be told, ND should have been the one to do this since they don't have a conference to butt heads with. The committee is a different story...
