I think the moral of this is, just imagine where LSU would be with a leader with a vision beyond marketing everything under the sun, and trying to get bargains at coaching.
LSU hired a mediocre retread with no real plan as football coach, and the team still wins 8-9 regular season games. Pony up for a top tier guy, you push another 1-2 wins a year into the equation, and we're right back as national contenders.
Bumbled around awhile killing basketball, until he stumbled into Wade. 2 years in, he wins the SEC without a lottery pick. Back the guy and ride out the storm, and you have a shot at becoming a perennial power. Instead, we rushed to join the media in condemning him over what amounts to gossip.
Baseball- weren't we supposed to be good? I mean, wasn't this OUR sport? Not anymore.

Sounds like he's weak. And F King didn't make him seek out a national writer for that dumbass statement after the Yale game.
definitely weaknesses of his. He was horrible with the media(not high up the lists of importance as an AD in his defense)
