3 mile walk to Tiger Stadium will definitely impress the gf!
I hear it comes with one free mugging and one free raping. Good news is, you get to choose who!
Maybe Houmas House if you want something different that'll impress the GF, it's a little further down River Road, but it's probably less expensive than the hotels along the corridor and there's nice places to eat, drink, and walk around while you're on your weekend away.

Renaissance Hotel. I don't stay downtown anymore. Even the most expensive hotels downtown are frequented by shitheads.

They’ve made a lot of great renovations to the Belle and it’s a fun walk from there down to campus.

I got a vacant house a few miles from campus I'll be selling in a month or so. Until then it is basically bare. You'd have to bring sleeping bags

If a Google search is the equivalent of the elite experiential advice that is shared on this board, then I have lived in delusion.

The two best are downtown Hilton and Cook Hotel (on campus)
If you’re going to Tigerland there is one hotel near Walkons.
