The real question is that, are we at the point where say you took the whole book of season tickets, put them on Stubhub for the face value of them all, plus the Tradition Fund ($900+), would you be able to make it back? With Sam Houston St, Ulm, New Mexico, Miss St, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and really only Bama being a decent ticket being worth that kind of scratch, has the supply finally inched higher than demand, at like $180 a ticket?
good question. I am wondering the same thing now. have we reached critical mass on this issue? Seems like LSU is really pushing the envelope especially with the gameday issues along with Les Miles issues.
ETA: everyone knows how i feel about parking. I feel it should all be parking pass(you could still park on private areas for a price without a pass) to keep the ones without tickets home to tailgate so it would help traffic after the game however, if some are bitching about the parking pass price then that is a fair legit complaint. I'll give them that, because the ticket prices are damn sure a legit complaint. If we keep raising prices we had best start winning more championships.

After not having the balls to try and steer a 10-2 SEC West team from its disastrously over saturated Chik Fil A bowl invites, and then even after we lost in it? I was telling people last year that the only good thing about going back to Atlanta is that it meant there was a virtual lock Alleva wouldn't be able to raise ticket prices. Shitting the bed against Clemson had to have assured it. Then he pulls it now?! frick that noise. My TV is looking better and better.

I will no longer buy tickets as well.
Reasoning?
1) CFB is becoming too predictable, like the WWE.
2) The Game Day experience at LSU with parking, etc, is not the same.
3) The TAF fees are high. When I try to sell my tix, my fellow Tiger Fans turn into Democrats and no longer want to pay what I have paid for the tickets in return. In fact, you get berated if you dare bring up TAF fees. SOMEONE has to pay them for the tickets to be available.
4) I have two small kids, and leaving them at home all day with the wife is not ideal.
5) Life priorities in general dictate me saving nearly 4K a year now.

You make good points and I'd like to see some things change too. The problem with your theory, IMO, is that everything NFL is more expensive and they do fine. All in all LSU game day is cheap compared to the Saints and more highly sought. For instance most won't trade a $70 LSU ticket for a $150'Saints ticket, I've tried
LSU will sell out. The only way to get their attention is for season ticket sales to drop but no one is willing to let them go for fear of not getting them back. That says it all.

Man I might finally be able to get tickets next year.
Of course Im not sure if I want them. Son will be 2 and the parking costs makes me not want to step foot on campus and that freakin schedule just gets worse and worse. Feels more like I would be scoring last Saints Preseason game tickets.

How many NFL stadiums seat 100,000 people? How many teams have people going to the game 24 hours early, paying for all the food and drinks, just to pig out all day?
What do NFL TV contracts look like? How many teams are in the NFL?
Not the same thing.

I have gotten sick and tired of the reason for increases is that it "costs" more to run the program. The University is getting a lot more money from many more sources than it used to. TV deals alone are bringing in bucks that didn't exist before. What is this SEC Network going to bring in? Hell, you can even get officially licensed LSU paper towels now. Pay parking per game is a joke-they close off access to pay lots before they are even close to being full. I could go on, but.....more coffee.

I agree college fans have more passion and the tickets are less. What I'm saying is the boycott won't be easy. Even people on here that are pissed are renewing and selling to others. That won't get any attention.
What's your point

? Just wait when the only view of the stadium is on gameday final and it's empty because fans are tired of getting screwed.
Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen. Your tickets will be sold to someone else before the door hits your arse on the way out.

I now see a change in college football- money.
No fricking shite. College football is a fricking business.

Why does a bottle of water cost so much?
This isn't just limited to LSU. A 1L bottle of water at the movies cost $5.
Damn, some of you must be miserable fricks. If you don't want to go to the game, don't go. No one will miss you in the least. What is going on at LSU is no different than anything else. shite costs more today than it did 15 years ago. Not a difficult concept.

not really. My Saints season tix are MUCH cheaper than my LSU tix. Less people tailgate at saints games like they do at LSU games so that saves a ton of money. Now yes, the concessions are ridiculous just like LSU. My parking for the saints is cheaper than LSU as well.

I think I was pretty clear. Using the NFL ticket prices to justify higher college prices is dumb.
Not the same context.

The Sunday Night NFL game this week between the Broncos and Colts took over 3 hours and 30 minutes. The LSU Florida game this year was played in 3 hours and 7 minutes.

I'm not justifying just pointing out that college tix are cheaper and fans more loyal. Which will make it very hard to make a boycott ripple

Yesterdays arrest of Brazil only added fuel to the fire for me. I'm tired of seeing these college athletes get arrested. The kind of athletes they recruit now are not the kind of people I want to support.
Yeah, because college football players NEVER got arrested before Ryan Perilloux.
