If there is pending litigation I wouldn't speak to anyone either. For what purpose? Toward what end? WW has a right and responsibility to protect himself. LSU nor the NCAA are courts of law and imagine what was shared could be discoverable.

But I don't believe my opinion is completely borne out of blind faith in a best-case scenario. Emmert's MO in investigations has appeared very measured during his tenure.
Death penalty level sanctions were being floated as a possibility for Miami during the Nevin Shapiro stuff, but the NCAA flubbed the investigation, and Miami got off relatively light. The NCAA got backlash for overstepping their jurisdiction on the Sandusky scandal, and Emmert eventually walked back many of the penalties placed on Penn State.
I just don't believe Emmert wants the NCAA to be perceived as a kangaroo court. Given what we currently know about the Wade situation, there isn't a lot of evidence to confidently bring the wrath down on LSU.

Yeah its has nothing to do with lsu's administration suspending it's head coach in the midst of a sec title run.
You can even admit that the administration exacerbated the issue by suspending Wade for a yahoo article.

Exactly. Which is why many aren't buying Wade's suspension as the right course of action right now.
If the admins had truly been concerned about the situation, a meeting would've been requested and dealt with a long time ago. They only became proactive when a recent story broke about a comment in a wiretap that we haven't heard in its entirety.
