I don't mind the game plan of running the ball too much in big games if it works and we win, but when not throwing the ball bothers me the most is in games against Nw St. where you know your defense is going to destroy them and you have nothing to lose and you keep send your 2 best backs into the pile to take a beating instead of getting some practice in with Lee and the receivers by throwing it more. I don't think Nw St. gives a rats arse about being beat 40-3 as oppose to 77-3.

Tigers are winning with the physical run game. Why show more of the playbook before the big games?

Lee was 10 for 10 on 1st downs. That is enough to keep a defense honest, if that's what you are desperate for.

I say we keep doing what we have been doing. It isn't broke.

you want to do maintenance on it so that it doesn't break at an inopportune time.

So you think that just because a team is running means that it is predictable? The running game is every bit as complex as a passing attack, RB's have to know what blocking schemes are in place, which hole to hit, etc. etc.

Sounds like you just don't know football very well.

Toward the end of the 3rd quarter against MSUwe ran the ball 27 times and threw it 24. We were balanced. Then we got a solid lead and ran the ball more. We threw it a bunch on first down as well. Do you people even watch the games?

Did we go back in time to the week before Oregon? Seems like this thread came straight outta that week of stupidity

it's so complicated that teams don't know what side of the box to stack. Should we stack the left side heavier than the right? or the right side heavier than the left?

the point is we need to back them out of the box and have em on their heals then rip them with Ware and Ford.

Then it's not working. They are still not respecting the passing game.

Jarrett Lee throws the ball 27 times......27 fricking. Times. and on the road, in the first SEC game.....and people want to throw the ball more?? What do you want? Want to throw the ball 35 times? 45 times? What are you? Retarded? Want to see what happens when a team goes one dimensional in the air? Watch what happens in Morgantown tmrw. Some of you are unbearable.

Good theory, any particular % in mind?
not saying we should change our game plan but it seems like our offense opens up a little more when we mix things up instead of run run pass. I understand that we are a run first team and we should be but I think we should also show that we can throw the ball consistently also
