This doesn't make sense since LSU has beaten Bama with non elite QBs.

Lee played a good deal and did well when we beat Bama in 2010.

That was just excellent play calling too. A lot of misdirection and calling the plays to your play makers strengths.

Bama just got beat by an ACC team. We beat them with JJ and almost again with AJ.

9-6 with the greatest defense in college football history.

We're not beating these dudes with a QB who can create or give you another dimension of offense.

Much as y'all hate them we need a DT-QB....

That was sweet, wasn't it? It's nice to see 'Bama fans crying about the officiating for a change.

He threw a big completion to get a 1st down when Jefferson got hurt late in the game but he was 3 for 6 for like 30 yards besides that. And to reference him as QB who doesn't make mistakes when he had 7 career INTs against Bama.

I disagree with the OP to a point. Unless you have an NFL quality line and a mature passing game I don't think you'll have much success. Our passing game has been almost anemic for years.

The play Clemson won on was mostly a 3 man play executed perfectly.

Umm yes you can sorry but you can beat these guys, even with a DT its not hard to keep a QB in the pocket so umm no you need a smart QB that can MOVE in and out the pocket but gets the ball off. The WRs technique needs to change a little for certain teams also, you have to take smart chances with these teams. It's not hard to highlight a ball or throw back shoulder passes if you practice it. Just need to practice these techniques. A QB needs to be accurate and decisive and smart, these are a QBs best 3 traits. We can beat bama

True, but for sure one of the two "stop play for review of the two second half passes: were unnecessary. The first...maybe as the ref was slightly off-angle, but the second was clear as could be fore the ref.

These two had me in a conspiracy mode for a bit. They both stopped Clemson while they were on a roll. The best part though, they just continued on without blinking and scored.

Hell Yes!

Wasnt Jarret Lee very good against Bama the season before we played for the national championship? Dont have the stats, but remember him coming in and making some big throws.

Not if you give up 31 points, anyway.

LSU would have beat Bama in 2016 with the 2015, 2014, 2013 or 2012 offense.

We have Aranda. He will shut bama down. We won't need to score 40. If we score 20 we win 8 out of 10 with Aranda coaching the D and O bringing the talent in

Oh shite, Aranda has already made you guys think that his defense will always be able to hold everybody to less than 20. I think Aranda is one of the best DC around, and was saying this 2 years ago when we needed a new DC, but every defense gets into one of those games where the offense HAS TO score 30+ points to win. Bama has given at least 30 points and 470+ yards 3 times this year, and they still finished with the #1 scoring defense and #1 total defense.

LSU needs a legit spread offense with a mobile QB that gives them the chance to score 30+ on anybody including Bama.

Well hell, Cali boy, what is the use of LSU even playing Bama next year? Why don't we just go ahead and forfeit now and save our travel budget?

Lee wasn't ever VERY GOOD against Alabama. He might have completed a pass every now and then, but overall he was terrible.

The idea that any LSU fan can use very good to describe Lee's play against Alabama is laughable and makes me wonder if they watched him play against them or if the poster is even an LSU fan.
