He threw for 30 yards the following game.

That team beat Alabama too.

if 09 Jordan shows up (or Les gives Lee the reins once JJ started looking bad), we probably win it all. it boggles the mind how he regressed so badly after the first 15 or so games of his career.

he was a bit better post-bye week, but the middle of the season was the QB equivalent of 07 Lafell and his drop issues.

i have explained how many times.

remember miles was gone that year IF we had a third straight ZOok like year. as most football fans know a zook like year is 4 or 5 losses. UF set the standard on when to fire a winning coach ...see zook.

we easily coulda had 4 or 5 losses and miles woulda been gone. first game. i was there in atlanta. UNC TE drops game winning TD as time expires. JJ plays terrible and LEE leads us on multiple scoring drives and the game winner to toliver at UF. on that drive we had the fake FG where we got lucky as fack. UT. if not for lee completing a 4th and 16 on that final drive we lose that game. hell we almost lost amyway if UT did not have 13 men on field. mind blowing how close miles was to being fired after 2010 has those turned into losses coupled with 5 losses in 08 and 4 in 09. woulda been his third straight zook like year

Until last year, Jordan's 2009 was the nest non-Mett season we'd had since 2007.

And then turned in the greatest 13 games in college football history in 2011.

I walked out the stadium feeling like the team lost. That was brutal.

I was there too. weird feeling walking out, we dodged such a bullet. Ridley couldn't hold on to the ball, and I'm cussing Chief for all those freshman DBs in the game at once (Tyrann, Reid, and Tharold.... hah).

kinda along the same lines, we coulda been 11-2 (or better) in 09 though. though the Ole Miss and Penn State really pointed out Miles' late game issues.

Miles pulled a lot of games out of his backside. He was living right or SOMETHING.

Jarrett Lee saved that season, and Les Miles job in October of 2010. Jefferson was horrible for about 4 straight games in that time and Lee bailed LSU out. Yet Les never gave him the start. Then in 2011 we all know what happened. For a kid that saved Les’ job, I can’t believe how absolutely shunned he was after Bama in 2011. Shameful.

They complimented each other well for whatever reason. When we rotated them we dominated.

For some reason, this is one of my favorite LSU teams

It made it to 7-0 is such overall awful fashion, then responded after losing by beating Bama and finishing top ten

Jefferson actually improved from UT on, Lee looked terrible late season 2010.
I recall he was something like 4/14 vs frickin ULM and looked even worse next game against Ole Mrs.

I'm not sure if it was chicken/egg thing with less attempts because he was performing worse, or worse performance because of less attempts, but it was what it was.

I would normally comment- it's in the past, just let it go. But this is still a sore subject for me too.
