He's not the Mettsiah, yet, we'll see. The things we saw in the game are fixable, but CLM has things he needs to fix in his preparation as well. Happy to get the win.

LSU, on the other hand, trotted off the field and showed no emotion.

I wouldn't say no emotion, but certainly man-for-man, LSU's players not as mentally dialed-in, as were Aub's players with two losses already in-tow.

While I do believe Auburn to have the best day game atmosphere and fans in the SEC, as their fans really bring it. I would dare say an unbeaten Florida, playing either on CBS, or an ESPN night game. Will be both an superior team to face than was Aub, and their crowd will(much like LSU fan's on-off big game efforts), bring their A-Game..

BHG in two weeks will be louder than Jordan-Hare was last night..the stakes are much higher!

I had the same feelings about the team while watching the game on television.

I did think we were going to blow them out previous to game time so that was a huge let down. It really hurts my opinion of the offensive play calling for yet another year. Hopefully somebody will say something about it in the organization.

A Win is a Win....Games like this is why I hate Auburn.

A good friend of mine is an Auburn fan and went to the game. He called after it was over and congratulated us on the win. He said they were really pumped and knew that with one more break going their way that they could have won the game.
I'm happy that we won.

Auburn had already laid down and quit. Then we basically give them the only chance they had at scoring with fumbling it in our territory. You can tell lsu has a very good team. In years past, we wpuld have lost a game like that.

It's six of one half dozen of other.
Both are tough.

Let's not forget that Auburn also almost got embarrassed by ULM at home as well last weekend. They had everything to prove. They came out mad. People here don't have the mental capacity to realize how much that emotion can play into the outcome of the game.

I was watching it online and after every positive stop or third and anything the crowd was deafening. We'll rebound and play better, but LSU needed this game to both humble and give them a reality check.

Great post. I was at the game and could not believe the energy coming from their fans. At one point I turned to my wife and said they are cheering like they are winning. One thing I noticed watching live is that our receivers are still running their routes when Mett is ready to throw, they need to break their routes off earlier. Also, our receivers are weak, catching and blocking. On the bomb to Sheppard in the fourth, he quit running on the route, either because he was covered or he didn't think Mett was gonna throw it. When Mett let it go, I knew he didnt have a chance. Mett never looked comfortable running, and because of it he came up with a 4th and 1 on 2 different occasions when we should have had 1st and 10. Auburn is a better team than their record indicates.

"Unlike any crowd I have seen in Tiger Stadium. This crowd had an LSU-Florida 2007 feel to it."

It wasn't that great, it was typical SEC night crowd, it happens 4 times a year.

never seen a fanbase so happy after a loss. constant chants of "it's great to be an auburn tiger" while walking out of the stadium. bizarre.

Exactly, I find it hard to believe the "most intense Auburn fan atmosphere ever" just happened to fall in a season Auburn blows with its only win coming over ULM at home in overtime. This all purple and gold glasses talk, and I will not drink that shite. LSU played like shite and the offense was the same stuff we've seen from Les Miles year after year, its time someone lit into his arse and told him its 2012 not 1973.

Most folks have accepted that Miles isn't ever going to change. Maybe those fans who haven't need to get with the times. It is what it is, deal with it and work within the framework you have. What you saw last night was Les Miles football.
