Nope. I've though this over.... A lot.

Tulane is pretty weak. I know our pitching isn't all that deep but - we should be able to beat them with Johnny Wholestaff

I would try to start Money and then get to Coleman. Hope to get 5 innings out of the two of them combined and then go 1 inning at a time and try to get the W.

Skenes goes Game 2. Put you in the Finals.

Ty Floyd goes Game 3. He's our Number 2 starter.

Thatcher Hurd is held for the "if necessary" Game 4. Money and Coleman will have had 2 day's rest and can help finish this one if needed.

Why save one of your better arms that's had a few good outings in a row for a "if necessary" game?

Its either...

Hurd
Skenes
Floyd
Money (If necessary)

Floyd
Skenes
Hurd
Money (If necessary)

I disagree, I go

Money
Skenes
Floyd

Hurd to seal the deal out of the pen or to start game 4 if needed.

Not gonna say getaway. If Hurd can continue to build off of the last 2 starts he has good enough stuff to beat anyone.

Holding Skenes to game #2 didn’t work out too well in SEC tournament

Was it really that difficult to see that CJJ’s lackadaisical approach to the SEC Tourney filtered down into the team? I’m not saying they didn’t care or try or want to win each game but it’s clear (at least 2 me) that CJJs priority wasn’t to win the Tournament. He used the 3 games to help him set his Lineup & figure out his Pitching rotations for the postseason.

CJJ’s approach appeared to lessen the teams overall focus & drive to win. Hopefully it doesn’t stick around long.

Bottom line: We can’t take much if anything from the SEC-T. These guys have played great baseball for 85-90% of the season & I really believe they’re fixing to TEAR IT UP!!
