Unlike you asswipe, I don't only read the rant....many LSU people in a lot of outlets are doing the same......so that sure tells me that the players are probably hearing the same thing from fans they run into daily......

I would be more concerned if this game was in the middle of our schedule. We have plenty of time to prepare/condition for them. If our Dline like most SEC lines get the slightest penetration "just the tip LOL" we will throw their offensive scheme off badly. Watch the National Championship game again and you will notice it messed Darron up badly and the only true gains they made were in the air on the worst SEC secondarly. Besides we will hopefully give the defense rest and slow things down with our multifaceted running attack.

i predict oregon's offense will be flat arse tired out by the middle of the 3rd quarter.

Yes- The Oregon Offensive Blitzkrieg can't be stopped. Not even by the NFC All-Pro Defense from 2010....
Be confident, dammit; no need to hide under the bed.
LSU would take Oregon's 2011 scehdule in a heartbeat.

Oh.
Well, don't be scared. Everything'll be okay.

I don't think this game will be a cake walk but I am looking forward to it. One thing that concerns me is that I don't think the winner of this game is necessarily be determined by who is best. I believe the team that comes out 9/3 without as many cobwebs and offseason rust will win regardless of who is best.
This is why I prefer a creampuff opening game of the season. Those first game screwups are easier to overcome when you are playing North Texas instead of Oregon.
Considering the type of offense each team will be running though I think it is more likely that we come out without as much rust.

That would mean they are having alot of success?

Not really. Did you miss the part of that special where CK said he wants to speed up the tempo even more and add more wrinkles.
LSU is making things simpler while Oregon is making them more complicated.

Your right we need to work extra hard and not get too over confident. I'm not worried about shite what is the point of that less than a month away from the game. The only thing worth doing for me is checking out those fine Oregon cheerleader hoes during the game and seeing if they are as advertised

It's just fans talking. i am pretty sure the coaches and players do not believe we are just going to steam roll Oregon. They will be well prepared to fight this one out. I personally feel that this is going to be another dogfight until the end.

this is what we as fans can do
LSU
Oregon
LSU
Oregon

This years Oregon team ain't the same team. They've lost ALOT of players. And both their lines are small and inexperienced compared to ours.
Relax Rebecca...it'll all be fine

Here's the deal. Should LSU make a few mistakes early, the Ducks will run LSU out of the building. Of course I don't expect that to happen.
Oregon will put a lot of "time" pressure on LSU's offense and defense. The LSU offense will need to keep the ball long enough to rest the defense and the defense will need to find ways to avoid sustained drives by the Ducks. They need to get the Oregon offense off the field quickly. Three and out maybe one first down then three and out. But don't let the Ducks get the LSU defense on their heals or it will get ugly quick.
Mistakes in the first game of the season are common. A missed tackle, a slip, a fumble, a mental mistake or int. Any combination of these early in Oregon's favor and the Ducks will put up big numbers very quickly. Again, I don't see this happening.....
Pace of the game is what's very hard to practice for against the Ducks. Auburn runs a similar offense on occassions so they were able to run it in practice at a pace pretty close to what the Ducks run and I think it helped them prepare well for the Ducks. Kifin and USC started speeding up practices in prep for the Ducks the week they played Cal. What I'm saying here is it isn't something you can just turn on with great talent and speed, you have to practice against it or you won't be ready.
Do we know who the official are for this game? They play a significant part in the game for the Ducks. We've had problems where officals slow the game down by not getting the ball placed quick enough. 15 seconds per play (including ball placement) would be nice. Please no slow fat officials for this game.
It's the 80 yard 9 play drive in 2:20 minutes that will fry the LSU defense. If Oregon is able to put a few of those together. The Ducks will be just fine.
So what it comes down to is handling 15 seconds per play without making mistakes for 60 minutes. LSU handles that and they win.

Well shite if our offense never touches the ball for 60 minutes then I don't like our chances

Your team isn't big enough to run LSU out of the building....early mistakes or not. Both your lines are going to get punished.
I'm not predicting a win...but i will say that Oregons lines are going to be embarrassed.

Who knows you may be right, but we're use to being told this everytime we play one of the "tradition rich" schools. And that's why we play the game.
It's going to be a good one. AND I will be back after the game. LSU has great fans and this is an excellent board.

Thought you would. On a serious note LSU has a very nice 2 deep on defense, so I don't anticipate any wearing down on defense even if we only sub in between possessions.

I wouldn't have even mentioned last year...but you've lost alot of players and are very inexperienced on the lines.
