If this happened to Bama (I know, let’s all ), we’d be initially pumped but come gametime, they’d run some backup out there and they’d never miss a beat.

LSU has the talent to do the same thing. It’s only 30 minutes. If they can go out and keep it close for the first half, think of how electric that place will be for the second half.

I know White is our stud but one guy doesn’t win or lose games. This is a great chance for other guys to make names for themselves and I think they step up. Don’t think White won’t be in their ears these next two weeks.

Also, don’t underestimate Dave Aranda. He’s got two weeks to adjust.

Game on, gumps. We comin. And we ain’t backin down.

O has really played the underdog role to a T. This just adds to the “clippings n locker room” motivation tactics. It’s wked well and this is just more fire O will light under their arse next week.

Defense will use this to rally around White and get angry. It will be a very hostile environment for Bama in 2 weeks between the team and fans having this rally point if it doesn’t get overturned. can’t wait!

Good post. Keep it close for the half and DW , pissed off for 2 weeks, wrecks shite.

It doesn't matter if the offense isn't productive and capitalizes when it gets into the red zone.
The play calling was abysmal at times last night even considering the weather. Plus, last night wasn't the exception to play calling. We simply forfeit meaningful snaps when we attempt basic rushing plays in some situations. Do we actually have a delayed draw or some misdirection in our playbook?

Imagine having White for all 60 minutes like we should.

Put a spy on tua. Use all the clock before running a play. Keep bama off field long as possible. It will cut down on their play count. DEFENSE play lights out. Keep score close at half that will do it

Real problem here is Bama averages like 21 in the first quarter this year... Bama has scored a TD every opening possession this season. key to the game for us is preventing that.. and now, without White

I get it but at some point, people have to look at their competition. Call it homerism or whatever but they’ve not been challenged this season. They just haven’t. They get the benefit of having the media build up every opponent as a legit team so their win looks better. We heard all week how intense the Tennessee “rivalry” was. It’s ridiculous.

In two weeks, they will face the toughest opponent to date. Let’s see them score on their first possession and put up 21 in the first quarter.

Agree 110%. They continuously let drives stall out and die once they get to the red zone. It’s crazy to see. They drive really well down the field and then flop.

Do that in two weeks and you have no shot.

The best team they played was the Aggies. They jumped out on them early too but the start of that game was a disaster for TAMU. They turned it over deep in their territory on the first play

I agree, said the same thing.

I was heated at first, but this could light a fire under our team and have them pissed, which is good attitude to have playing football

Keep sprinkling sugar on that shite sandwich the SEC fed us. It’s not going to make it taste better. But you might have a future as the LSU AD if you think it’s ok that we got bent over.

Did we really need extra motivation to play Bama at home? Nice spin, but White's absence simply hurts the team. Aranda is going to have to come up with something original and ingenious to scheme around his absence. Let's hope he can do it.

Yeah, one player doesn't win or lose games.

But White is our defensive enforcer. Our shot caller. The defensive QB who works most closely with Aranda, more than any other player, and audibly sets up the chess pieces play by play, every play, every game. And let's not leave out that he's probably top 5, if not top 3, in the next NFL draft.

We're in trouble without him for the first half. Bama's whole MO is jumping out to an early lead and then burying you. If someone truly believes that N$ isn't licking his chops about attacking the middle without Devin White there, please raise your hand so I can point and laugh.

I believe this team can and will compete with the big red monster. And I'm on record saying it previously this season, that I don't believe we beat Alabama in Tiger Stadium this year...

Now before you downvote me to shite- which is coming anyway and I don't really care- consider what I said. I don't believe LSU beats Alabama. But I'm not saying we can't win. It will just take a flat dominant and flawless game by LSU in which Alabama makes many mistakes and beats themselves a lot (something they just don't do, but hey a person can pray). And let's not forget that even when LSU makes game-changing, otherworldly plays, the SEC officials will still review those plays and PP7-INT us into oblivion.

This game is literally LSU against the world, like it has been since 2011.
