As much as I like Mulkey, her ties to LSU are pretty thin compared to others on that list. She was an A-List basketball star at La. Tech, and I watched her run rampant on the court for years in the Tech Dome.

But her involvement with LSU, unless I'm missing something, is pretty much limited to her time as WBB coach. That's not nothing, for sure, but I'd go a different route if I had a chance.

My personal choice FWIW would be Joe and JaMarr, although I don't know if GameDay has ever had a pair of guest pickers at the same time. Those two were joined at the hip at LSU, though, during the best season ever for the Tigers. And now they play together in the NFL.

The synergy for that appearance is amazing, and I hope it happens.

Shaq Diesel would be my 1b. pick to Burrow/Chase at 1a.

Angel is quite literally the biggest sports star from recent LSU. That would not be a crazy thought, I doubt it will happen though. I like the Wayne nod. But I'd love it if they brought up big Whit or RC or Marcus Spears to be along side Coach Saban.

Swagu would be AWESOME, but he already works for ESPN so I doubt he'd count as a "guest" picker. Same with Booger.

Sort of like Tebow wouldn't likely ever be a GameDay guest picker for a Florida home game.

I won't debate you on that one, either - to a point. Mulkey was loved at Tech not just for her basketball skills, but her personality on and off the court as well. That said, GameDay is about football, and if you could get two of the top players in the NFL that are from LSU on your show for an LSU/Bama game, I think that might tip the scales a bit.

Again, I don't disagree, but I also know that you can fly in for a few hours, then fly back out again if that's what you want to do. I've done that a LOT of times for job interviews, there and back in less than a day (including about 4-5 hours on site).

One added factor for the (admittedly slim) possibility of a Burrow/Chase gameday appearance: recruiting. How cool would it be for potential LSU recruits to be at a LSU/Bama night game with so much riding on the line, and also getting to meet those two as well? Pretty potent scenario, if LSU and GameDay could make it happen..... Then again, I doubt assisting any one team with their recruiting factors in to the Gameday crew's decisions, so TIFWIW.
